Does Tramadol Show Up As An Opiate In Drug Tests? (Page 3)

I thought it was a non-narcotic pill but it gives me the same feeling as would Lortab or Codiene.

I take ultramm and it has not showed up on my own drug panel test,which was Odd
They r prescribed to me for arthritis.

I'm in the middle of a big custody battle for my daughter and her father is using drugs. He's trying to cover his tracks and got a prescription of tramadol. He failed for "Opiates/Heroin" last time. Now that he got this prescription the court blew off the drug test. If I can prove that it wouldn't show up or show up the same maybe I could get the drug test rescheduled. Can someone please help me? The drug tests do have an "Oxycodone" specific test. Would it show up for that? Also to fail for "Heroin/Opiate" could he have taken Vicodin? Or what would it have been? FYI my daughter lives with him so I'm trying to get her away from all of the craziness down there but not completely take him out of her life. So please help...

Tramadol is not going to show up as heroin/opiate even on a urine drug test. I would recommend a Hair 5 Drug Panel with Extended Opiate hair drug test. The Extended Opiates part are the pain killers of Hydrocodone, Hydromorphone and Oxycontin. How can the court blow off a drug test just because he has a script for tramadol- complete stupidity. Tramadol would not show up as Oxy either. A hair drug test is meant to show consistent use over time. A 1.5 inch sample cut at the scalp line would go back 90 days. I get a lot of court orders for custody issues. Vicodin would show up in the extend opiate panel. The normal opiates tested for are Codeine, Morphine and Heroin. If he failed a heroin urine test it could be morphine and/or heroin, that's most likely what it is. Hope this helps.

Did u find an answer? I have a drug test Monday at @10 i was wondering if tramadol shows up. I took a drug test and failed but i also was taking vicodin. The DR. from the lab called me and said i was positive for vicodin but said nothing about the trams.

I took one last thursday around 11am. I had actually taken 50 mg that morning. 150 mg the day before and another 150 mg the day before.. it was a 5 panel drug test..

Tramadol is an opiate! why it does not come out im not sure...

and i was on probation before... addicted to oxys at the time... taken that and hydros everyday... I was ALWAYS CLEAN... put that on everything i love.

they have to be specifically looking for these type of drugs to find them....

I just left probation and Parole and tramadole did show up as a opiad my officer calld pharmacy and they said it could be a borderline thing.so yes it sure can

Whats funny is I see all these posts like his about trying to cheat the system by taking a small amount of their prescription or flat out adding it to their urine sample. What folks do not realize is the tests also test for the metabolite of the drug...thats what the drug turns into after you ingest it. I run a tox lab...that does enzyme assay screens and liquid chomotography/mass spectrometry confirmations...tough to beat those....

In canada tramadol is not tested in a drug panel. It has to be specifically asked for( a text of it's own). I just passed a 12 panel drug screen and I am taking tramadol with a prescription.

I'm just trying to find out for sure if it will come we up in a drug screen because I'm in the middle of a custody battle for my daughter and her father is using heroin but got a prescription for Tremadol to try to cover it up. When I go back into court I need to be sure so I can push a drug test for us both and prove he's using heroin. So, does anyone know where I could get real accredited information about the differences of how heroin and Tremadol show up on a drug screen?

I work in the field of hair drug testing and I can say for certain that tramadol will not show up in any Hair 5 Drug Panel we provided. But Heroin is definitely a drug the Hair 5 Drug Panel would cover. The opiates tested for in the Hair 5 Drug Panel are codeine, morphine and heroin. IF any are positive it will give a number of how much is positive. The higher the number the more the use. One of my recommendations is to make sure they use hair from the head if possible as that will give a better history (time frame). When the lab I partner with gives results "Body Hair" has no time frame associated with it so I tell people to use head hair. Good luck.

No, she had bought synthetic urine that is clean and wants to put oxycodone in it because she has taken lots of other drugs and doesn't want the doctor to know how much of an addict she really is. Which isn't good but better than your scenario of selling to children.
