Does Subutex Show Up As An Opiate On A 5 Or 8 Panel Drug Screen (Page 2)

My 19-year-old son may finally be getting off the roller coaster. He ran out of Suboxone and a "friend" gave him some Subutex to last until his Suboxone refill comes in. Only problem: he has the first meeting in the process to get his juvenile records sealed. Do they drug test at that point? Should he be worried about being positive because of the Subutex? It will show up doesn't matter how you take it. I seen it show up positive, if you don't see a line then its positive. Its on the very last row on the test (BUP)

Its the same exact medicine but suboxone has two ingredients subutex has one..absolutely no need to worry

Hi

I have been testing myself for the past 14 days - I kicked the Oxy after 2 years of eventually 360 mg a day and used tramadol to come off it nothing else - I couldn't understand why it was showing the oxy and methadone on week one then all it showed is methadone? I haven't taken methadone in 10 years....so is the tramadol showing as methadone?
By the way I recommend anyone trying to get off Oxy to try this as I have had habits of most drugs over a 20 year period and tramadol in high doses reducing over 2 weeks then 12 mg of subutex over 3 days to come off the tramadol works basically pain free!!!!
But can anyone explain the methadone in urine?

I just had the same problem. Was taking subutex and had a drug test. Came back as an opiate and I know for sure that subutex was the ONLY thing I was taking. Nobody believed me, probably cause of track marks but I haven't shot dope in a year. It was SOOO frustrating!

That is unheard of lol! Subutex and Suboxone have their own test and the person doing the tests would have to specifically order a certain test just for that! I have worked in the healthcare field for 14 years and always have been tested and my subutex never shows up!

If he's running out of his medicine than he's taking more than prescribed which would be my concern,,I am a Suboxen patient and I want u to know that no matter how many u take the standard dose is 16mg and anything more than that is a waste bc u will not need more bc no matter if u take 16mg or 24mg u will not get no different effect bc they work on ur brain waves actually more is bad I Know I was taking 32mg thinking that there is a difference but I am only taking 16 mg now and feel the same effect

S***, next time they give you a drug test like that just drink a 5-hour energy (little bottle)....empty it out, wash it really good and put someone's clean pee in it and stick it inside of you. Use foil and use baby hair ties to cover the top. And when u sit in da toilet with the cup down there, just tell ur p.o to turn on da water so u can pee comfortably and while she's doing that, take advantage and pop the foil with ur nail so the clean pee can come out.
