You put a sub in your pee yesterday? ?? It's supposed to test positive for opiates that way. I'm going to google how long it takes for pcp to leave your system but everyones body is different, something that may take a week for someone else could take three for me and you. Depends on hormones, diet, metabolism etc. I'll try to post a link with info for the pcp. But another thing, and I'm no expert on pcp, haven't tried it but once as a teen in some marijuana and after hiding in a closet after seeing my friend grow scales and rub them off on the wall, while no one apparently was even in the room, I've stayed pretty shy from it lol. BUT these drugs can be cooked up with different substances to create a cheaper formula for the dealer, just like the fake percs being cut with benzos. I'll see what comes up, let us know about the subs though.

Determining exactly how long PCP is detectable in the body depends on many variables, including which kind drug test is being used. PCP - also known as Angel dust, boat, hog, love boat, embalming fluid, killer weed, rocket fuel, supergrass, wack, ozone - can be detected for a shorter time with some tests, but can be "visible" for up to three months in other tests. The timetable for detecting PCP in the system is also dependent upon each individual's metabolism, body mass, age, hydration level, physical activity, health conditions and other factors, making it almost impossible to determine an exact time PCP will show up on a drug test. he following is an estimated range of times, or detection windows, during which PCP can be detected by various testing methods:

Urine Test: 1-7 days, heavy 1 - 4 wks
Blood Test: 24 hrs`
Saliva Test: 1-10 days

PCP, like like many other drugs, can be detected with a hair follicle drug test for up to 90 days.

I may need to explain my ? A little futher I'm on suboxone wit my dr i took the quick test in his ofc it was dirty for oxy & pcp... i tried the.angel dust a month ago no oxy. My dr allowed me a retest at a lab i stopped by a friends got clean pee & dissolve a whole film in now im reading tht don't work! Honestly I have no idea. If you know they aren't testing for the subs, FOR SURE, then I imagine you'd be alright but they do test anyway sometimes and may even test your levels. I'd try to maybe be honest with your doctor before it's too late about the pcp but if you actually didn't do the oxy don't ever admit it! ! Google what could cause a false positive for oxycodone and see if anything you've taken OTC or otherwise could cause it. Sorry I couldn't help with a definitive answer but every lab, doctor office etc does things differently. I don't know if you seen the post below about the pcp but you may wanna be honest with them in case you continue to test positive, it said it can stay in your system up to four months.

Did you have to take a drug screen for nursing school? And if so what did they test for? I just started nursing school and just stopped taking suboxone after 2 years so I'm scared I'll be kicked out the program.

Nursing Student, I don't know all of the specifications about nursing programs but if you're not applying for employment you shouldn't be tested at all...for anything. I've never heard of a class drug testing their students but I know nursing does have a lot of specific requirements so if you already know about them testing is that what you're saying? Even if they did if you're legally prescribed I don't see how its an issue, especially since you're only participating in course studies. If you're worried about the stigma that comes with suboxone treatment you do NOT have to disclose any personal information about your personal health history, no matter how much some nosey Nancy tries to sneakily pry. If you do feel obligated to give a reason other then opiate maintenance. simply state it's prescribed for pain and you don't understand how your personal health information is even relevant to your abilities as a successful student.

Well I do not have a prescription that's why I am worried. It's random so I dont know when it'll be. I'm scared even if it's a month away i would still fail it since I've taken it so long. I've only taken maybe 2 mg at most a day which is not much really but because the half life it may not be long enough to leave my system. I don't know what to do

Nursing student, I utilized this mass spectrum of information called Google and found the answer to your question, mainly on a thread on 'allnurses'...it seems nurses are quite catty and generally suspicious of drug abuse and deception so I would be careful if you disclose any info about your prior substance abuse. But anyway back to your question, the type of tests and what they test for vary facility to facility so it's basically impossible to know what they would test for. But you do have rights and if you're prescribed it you won't have an issue and should be honest with your administration about how and why it's prescribed, since it takes nothing to find out what your prescribing doctor treats patients for. If you're worried what they'll think, oh well such is life, that's in your PAST and tell the administrator you expect this to remain private under the HIPPA act unless you give written permission otherwise. But I wouldn't worry much and honestly a lot of addiction programs LOVE to have recovered addicts on their staff to relate to their patients and even help participants in programs from a personal point of view, that may be your calling: )

Yeah at this point there is nothing I can do but wait and see what happens. I live in a small town so I'm hoping that they won't even think to test for it. Fingers crossed. I googled the clinic where they use to send students and theirs don't test for it. However we are tested at the school now so I'm not sure if they are using the same company. Thanks for your help Ash.

NOPE-I NEVER GOT POPPED FOR SUBS ON EVERY DRUG TEST EVER! FROM 5-PANEL TO EXTENSIVE LAB TESTING FOR COURT !! THEY NEED TO USE GAS SPECTROMATRY WHICH IS THE MOST EXTENSIVE OF TESTS. WHICH IS HIGHLY UNLIKEY UNLESS YOU ARE ALSO USING (AND FAIL FOR) OPIATES.(WHICH IS POINTLESS) BUPENORPHINE WILL NOT GIVE A POSITIVE FOR OPIATES. PEOPLE WHO TEST FOR SUBOXONE ARE USUALLY THE DR.'S PRESCRIBING IT TO MAKE SURE THE PATIENT IS USING AND NOT SELLING THEIR SCRIPT.

Manda, that's becoming increasingly untrue at this point. Yes before suboxone wasn't well known to probation, parole, courts, welfare etc. For welfare I was the first ever to actually be tested for suboxone but just a few months ago I had just a court review hearing for unpaid fines. Long story short, I'm not on probation or anything and never had drug charges of any kind but the judge still ordered me and others to take an immediate result drug screen in front of a female probation officer. Low and behold there was a result for bupe and of course I tested positive for it. Never seen that anywhere before other then my docs office of course. But yeah I actually was lucky enough to have my script on me or they were actually going to have a po officer take me home to prove I was prescribed it. I don't think they even knew really what it was but yeah it was tested for. I live in a basically rural area in Ohio too so it's surprising to me that they would be one of the first to test for it but assuming most judicial offices wholesale from the same retailers I'm sure it's not far from every office. It doesn't take long for 'them' to catch on to what we've been slyly slipping past with. But point being just play it safe it's not an expensive, in-depth test anymore, at least everywhere.

Hope this helps someone avoid some unnecessary grief!

No, I've been on Subs for over 3 years and don't plan to get off. My insurance pay for them so why put myself through that. I've work for some of the biggest companies in the world and Sub's have NEVER shown up on a urine test for WORK. There is a specific test but like many people have said they have to be looking for it.

IM in exactly the same boat yo the letter, ive been using suboxone for seven months and have a urine in two days for parole.i was lucky enough to have a 7 day heads up though but i still don't think that's gonna be enough.plus the withdrawals are killing me and i buckled two days in and had a half a mill.anything under a mill a day you can flush out in 24 hours.i know this for fact.large amounts.....i really don't like your chances bro.the best thing you can do is get four to five litres of water in before.piss mid stream and throw them a dilute.at least you'll have at least a week to flush.good luck.stay strong brother.

Joe i can't tell you either way for sure if that particular office will test for it or not..the only premise I'm going by is that maybe the state itself supplies the same products to all of their regional judicial offices. BUT like me, i had been a couple months prior and they only had standard urine tests then and the last time I went it was a standard looking cup kit but it did test positive for bupe. I was able to look at it and it sure enough did have a result option for bupe....This may be something that's only going on in certain areas that have the extra funding or it could be the new precedent for all testing now. They always end up catching on tp our sly new ways eventually so I imagine it probably will be pretty standard across the country. If maybe you could call and ask anonymously what they test for, pretending you're a father of a probation client and you're concerned that they don't test for what you think he's abusing. Use a different phone, even if you block your number it will still ID it at any government or state office. Most court jurisdictions have their own website so Google it and see if they have any information on their probation protocols, most government offices usually have this info available to the public so they can look like they're keeping us criminal heathens in check with their misappropriated taxes...

Let us know please either way what happens! If they do test for it and you fail DENY, DENY, DENY. My greatest advice is to NEVER claim guilt.

Good luck Joe!
