The half life of suboxone is much shorter then that you should be fine.

Verwon, now employer's don't test and two posts up they DO??

Get your information right please

SOME employers do, some don't. Simple as that.

If you are applying for a job that requires DOT screens, you bet your butt they WILL test and if found to be on ANY narcotic you will be given the choice to either find employment elsewhere or stop taking medication that may cause unsafe side effects.

This is not discrimination, companies will not be held liable for knowingly placing you in the position to possibly put yours, coworkers or public safety at risk.

Just to let everyone know, i saw a guide in my probation officers office for them to see traces of drugs in peoples systems and i cant remember them all, but opiates, valumes, xanex, ect of that type are only in the system for 3 days. Now that does include morphine but however, heroin i think was the only one that lasts longer, well THC too of course. THC is a minimum of 2 weeks if not more. Hope this helps some of you.

Has anyone been on suboxone in labor, but did not test positive for it

It depends. If its for a job, no. If its for probation or pain managment, yes.

Some job's HAVE to screen and then if found to be on ANY medication that has any adverse side effects.

If you're trying to apply for a CDL required position or any driving, hazmat or machinery handling position that your medicine could inhibit your responses and overall safety of yourself, coworkers and the public...they have an obligation to your medical history and your medication information.

For some positions you're required to not take the medication(s) hours prior to going in for work or having to drop all together. This includes any opiates and suboxone/subutex.

Suboxone being detected by a completely different test is no longer true.

Please before giving advice make sure you are up to date. Obviously medical technology advances...

Anyways yes suboxone (BUPE) is detectable when submitting for certain jobs, probation, welfare and obviously your physicians.

Suboxone wasn't well known so there wasn't an immediate test required for it before especially with POs etc. Now you better believe it is.

I know from experience so take your chances and think they haven't caught up with little ol' you and me.

I go see my PO and i kno they don't test for suboxone. U are stupid or mistaking. The ones that's done in front of u does not show up subs. U might be dumb enough to think benzo's is subs but they are zannys. But i want to kno if it goes to the lab for a 10 panel screen wit opiates expanded test will it show up?

Opiates stay in system 3 days and one day longer if on 3rd day u took extended release.

Yes to anyone that think it doesn't. Well it does. On a standard 10 panel expanded test. I just called the guardian services in Danville, ky. They do DNA and drug testing. I asked how much a 10 panel test cost and they told me. I told them i think my son. Which i don't have one. Lol.. does suboxone and i want to kno if it will show up. She told me yes it will. I was given a half a strip and thank god i called instead of trusting ppl online. I tell ya just look up guardian services Danville, ky on Google and call for ya self.

Ok "K BIZZLE" this may be true for honkey tonk Kentucky FOR THE MOMENT.

FYI when trying to insult someone's intelligence please at least use spellchecker.

And I didn't say anything about benzos, I cited info pertaining to BUPE.

Your intellect is beyond mine. Jeez.

And if your PO doesn't test for subs now they will soon. This is a fairly recent thing. Keep taking your chances and refusing advice from people who have been there, done it and just trying to give others struggling with addiction a heads up.

To be safe you should wait 12hrs-from the time you took opiate to first dose of suboxone. I have taken it early though, like 10hrs from last opiate use. My out-patient doc had said to wait 12hrs. It really does help a lot!

My doctor may do a urine drug screen because i was on methadone an he use to see if i still was taking that i have been taking a half of an 8 for maybe two months will that show up in a panel screen?

Suzz, yes methadone will show up. It is one of the items tested for on a standard 12 panel test. I took a pic of it at my dr office so i would have all things tested for in a provin list but methadone is. On it and will be detected even in the amount u are using. I wish i could just post the pic of it somewhere for all to see. Havent found a way darn it but hope i helped. Have a good one.

What im asking is will subs show up in a panel screen? I use to take methadone so when i got off it they still tested me for a few months but do they also test for the subs?

On a standard 12 panel, no, the subs are noton there. Its a more expensive test so u have to do it seperatly. But what. Happened to me is they were not testing for subs at pain management but something else was showing up, some other kind of pain reliever so then they tested for subs n found them. Subs contain buprenorphine and naloxone. Give me a sec n i will post again with the list of the 12 things tested. Most places dont test for subs unless they have suspect reasons. Brb

Who is testing and what are you SUPPOSE to test positive for? Anyways testing for suboxone USED to be a completely different and more expensive test but this is no longer true. Courts test for it, POs, welfare, certain employers and especially addiction treatment facilities.

Until recently testing for suboxone was a laboratory test and like stated below had to be specifically asked for but now the test is done instantly and is included in the basic urine analysis results, swabs, hair and blood.

Hope this helps, try to be more definitive when explaining your situation helps too :)

Suzz, this is how it reads: THC (12 PANEL CUP ONLY), COCAINE, OPIATES(3), AMPHETAMINES(4), METHAMPHETAMINE(4), PHENCYCLIDINE, MDMA(4), BARBITURATES(5), BENZODIAZEPINES(6), METHADONE, TRCYCLIC ANTIDEPRESSANTS(7), OXYCODONE(8).

So as u can see it doesnt list the ingrediants of the subs but it might show up as something else and in that case they had to test me again to test for subs specifically. If they are gona do that test from the begining for u, i dont know. But i hope this is some help.

Suzz, i just posted the list but it says it has to be reviewed first. The list is from the dr office last week. Ash is right that more places are just doing now as a rule of thumb with all tests but some still are not. The same dr, last week gave me a written script to have my test done elsewhere and he wrote standard ua and made another line and wrote suboxone. So as i stated, the STANDARD test doesnt. The list i posted is right from the pic of the test i have. It took my pain management 3 times to figure out the subs. Tests were abnormal, comming up with SOMETHING. It wasnt till they finally tested for the subs that they figured it out and NO it is not some lousy or cheap stupid dr. They are a spine institute and the best in our area, they took so long to test for that cause there was no suspitious reasons to test me for it. But between myself and ash, i hope we have helped.
