Does Dilaudid Keep You Awake?

Does dilaudid keep anyone else awake? It is supposed to help me with the pain enough so that i can sleep, but it seems to make me feel more awake somehow. Any body else experience this feeling? I have liver issues so I doubt I can switch to another drug.

Yes, opiates can cause that as a side effect in some people that take them, it's actually one reason some people end up abusing them, they like getting the energy boost. It doesn't mean they will all cause it for you, but there's no way to know ahead of time.

However, even with the liver issues, there shouldn't be a problem with you trying others, usually you'll just have to stay away from the ones that contain Acetaminophen.

Please notice that I said "shouldn't", because I am not a doctor, so there may be something going on here that I am not aware of with your liver, but your doctor can let you know for sure about trying any others.

The,first pill put me to sleep, the second and third time I am wide awake. Don't know what to do.

I have been prescribed hydromophone for my pain which has gotten so much better but I have trouble falling a sleep at night and staying a sleep. My heart beats fast at times and feels very aquward. I now have a cardiology apt. Im so tired , i feel I could sleep for days if my body would let me. Does anyone else have any answers for me?

I can't sleep ever since they put me on diluted. So I'm going to ask to be put back on the Percocet it doesn't keep me awake I'm so tried I don't know what to do and it's no any better than the percocet.
