Doctors In Michigan That Prescribe Methadone (Page 32)

I'm interested in finding a private doctor's office (not a clinic) that will prescribe methadone. I can't afford these clinics! Does anyone know of a doctor???

Hi amy , i need help finding a dr that will continue my meds , i was seeing a dr in st clair shores for over 8 years and he had me on a very high dose of methadone as well as xanax and valuim for aniexty , he got in trouble and is cutting people off or switching them to suboxone which i cant afford , he dave me a 7 day supply and told me i had to find another doctor . . Very stressed out and scared to death of withdrawls, i have a rod in my left arm goes from my neck to my wrist and have been on this medicine for over 15 years its the inly med that makes me feel normal,and as pain free as i can get , i need help finding a dr who will help me . If anyone can help me with info.please im a wife and a mom of 4 with a grandaughter who can not be in pain and sick , please any and all info is very much appreciated . Thank you so much .

Hello, would you mind emailing me regarding this doctor? My boyfriend is looking for another pain doctor and has been on methadone for chronic back pain for the past 7 years. He can not find another pain doctor, and his schedule does not allow him to make it the the clinic.

You were looking for "dr. p's" number? I don't know if it's really worth it; he is known to write a lot of pain rxs, but he'll promptly drop you if you fail a drug panel. Do you live in southeast mi? If you are still looking, I may be willing to forward his info... I was also looking for a new pain doc in the area. I used to be a patient of dr. p, but got dismissed from his practice because I failed a drug panel.

I live in Oscoda mi, and I drive 2 and a half hours to Gaylord mi and the same back there are no clinics for 2in a half to 3 hour radius either way you go next closest one is in mount pleasant, it gets to be more and more the further you head towards Detroit, where I just moved from a year ago, trying to be with family and get off dope, out everything ive tried over the years of my addiction methadone has been my godsend not just that but it helps with my chronic pain from myalga, arthritis,hep c,but truly mainly the debilitating pain from my horrid run in with endocarditis, by the grace of god I pulled through everyone especially the doctors were shocked and amazed,like when they notified my fam it wasn't just your daughter has been admitted,it was like you really need to get here if you want to say goodbyes shes not gonna make it through the night,its a wonder shes still holding on, i wake up with half my family standing around my bed, my mother holding my hand everyone in tears. Mind you I haven't seen any of these people the past 9/10 years because I had been standing on the corner in southwest Detroit a slave to the drugs and lifestyle...this was god slapping me with reality again, would of thought sitting two feet from someone that just got shot in the head and murdered, or being shot myself these also being on separate occasions mind you, would of scared me straight, would of flipped a switch in my head...anyways to the point, the infection caused my muscle tissues to deteriorate. My limbs were swollen as well shutting down along with my organs. I could not stand or walk or even lift my arms. I couldn't even move my arms to shoot up, and refused to let anyone call an ambulance or go to the hospital up until that point. My mind was so diffused and sick by my addiction all I wanted was my next fix and the people I was surrounded by were also in the same state of mind. It was horrible and in spite of all this I still ask myself why and how I kept going back...like I said god was on my side a bit over a year and I haven't looked back yet, and I give a lot of the credit to methadone but firstly god, and of course my war surviving soul and my beautiful 5 year old inspiration...anyways I live with pain still though the methadone helps. I wish I could find a doc to get a script. This clinic schedule everyday is crucial. It takes up half my day and it kills my wallet on gas. It's already hard to find a job let alone one that coincides with my schedule...oh and cant forget my mom, im nothing without her. She never gave up on me...suggestions?

@karmacodesmom yes, southeast Michigan area is good. Really anywhere in Michigan would be ideal at this point. Would you mind forwarded me the number of the doc?

I am looking for a Dr in the Monroe area that will prescribe methadone my son has been going to a clinic in Monroe for some time every day and they just told them the hrs of operation will be changing in 2 weeks and all of the people that have early am jobs will not able to dose and he is at a really good stage of his life and it will all come to a bad end if I can find somewhere else for him to go. Anyone have good answer to help. Thanks

Pam, do you know if Dr. P. will prescribe around 60-70 mg methadone per month? My spouse has been on methadone for 7-8 years for chronic back pain. X-rays and MRIs have been done countless times, but there is no sign of physical damage. Doctors think it might be nerve damage. Anyhow, he is looking for a new doctor, as his doctor recently was dropped, and is looking into Dr. P. We have an appt scheduled.

Isn't Flint quite a bit closer? Recovery Unlimited is there. Plus another clinic, but they do not honor the MMMP card like R. U. does.

I too been on methadone for 7 years, been getting it from my Dr, who now wants to switch me to morphine, which is NOT working, Looking for a new Dr in southeastern MI asap plz & Ty in advance! Methadone saved my life!!!

Your dr wants 2 put you on morphine after being on methadone. He needs to be reported and have his license taken away. Try Recovery Unlimited. Flint Michigan. There is another clinic there too. But not privately owned. Good luck to you
