Doctors In Michigan That Prescribe Methadone (Page 27)

I'm interested in finding a private doctor's office (not a clinic) that will prescribe methadone. I can't afford these clinics! Does anyone know of a doctor???

No, I have several offices, but they are on a line from Kalamzoo to Saginaw and North to Marquette. I don't have one in GR, but I am in my Muskegon office today.

We do not go overboard on pain meds, we are very conservative, but most of our patients come to us severely overmedicated.

Hey There -Is there anyone out there knowingof a Doctor IN THE TRAVERSE CITY, MICHIGAN area who PRESCRIBES METHADONE FOR ADDICTIONS?? Already was on Suboxone for many years. Don't want to go back on Subs. Want to try the methadone treatment.

There is no methadone clinic in Michigan N. of Mt. Pleasant. You can't just go to a doctor and get methadone for addiction, it requires a special license. It is my understanding one may be coming to Gaylord.

Hi KanDee there is NO place in Traverse Area I lived there for 10 yrs and had to drive downstate 1 x a week! I finally had to move and trust me I searched. For years.

hi I am looking for a doctor that prescribes methadone in the Lansing area I have been on Methadone before for my pain and it works really good.I have been on other medication but nothing seems to work like the methadone.if anyone can help I would really appreciate it.

I have found myself in a scary position. My neurologist gave me a UA at my last visit, and I tested negative for hydrocodone (I am prescribed 40mgs of methadone a day plus 5-6 10mg pills of Norco per day for break thru pain). My appointment was to get my new scripts. It was 30 days since my last Norco script had been filled and I had run out of my Norco 3 days prior (my script is technically a 25 days script if I take 6 per day, it's never really a problem bc I can fill it at 24 - 30 days). My appointment was 3 weeks ago. Yesterday I got a letter in the mail from the neurologist office dismissing me from their care bc I had tested negative for a prescribed medication. I had told the doctor at the time of my appointment that I had been out of the medication for 3 days & questioned him on getting an increase but he said we'd wait till the next visit since the weather had been so biting cold, it may have been making symptoms worse. Point being that office has dropped me as a patient. I am seeking a new doctor and have an appointment next week. My question is, do I explain the whole situation to the new doctor or just say I'm seeking a new doc & hope the truth does not come out?

HELLO ,good morning had the worst doctor visit ever and im hoping someone here can help me . i live in macomb county i go to a dr in st.clair shores and been seeing him for 5 years ,he told me that he wants to switchall his patients that take methaone to suboxone !! i am scared to death. i can not be sick for 3 days then get put on suboxone for one i cant afford it,its $8.50 a strip i have 4 children and im 34 yrs old. i need to find a new doctor asap ,can anyone help me please ..

same situation HELP. im a 50 year meth head but for pain only, they put me on it ,it works, then they take it away. I DONT UNDERSTAND AND REALLY NEED HELP. please send chronic pain help only to {edited for privacy}

Dr. Meyer at the EDM treatment center in Saginaw will prescribe methadone. And lots of it!! I got 368 a month plus klonopin and adderall, 3 30 mg Addie's a day! He prescribes tons of whatever he puts you on! Addict or not, just depends on what your counselor recommends, try to get Sue as a counselor- she is a dingbat and recommends what you tell her u want!!

I've never ever been to this site or any like it and I was searching sites for a friend of mine and after reading this thread of comments I'm on page 5 I just want to say Pam, you are a true Angel for offering your time and information to complete strangers!!! It really says a lot about who you are and I think you're pretty special and COMPASSIONATE AND ALSO very rare !

This is completely untrue. Dr. Meyers is a well respected physician and a competitor of mine. This sounds more like an angry patient or rival that is trying to spread rumors rather than an actual report.
