I have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. I am even being placed on disability until I can get my back healed because if something doesn't change I will be in big time pain for the rest of my life. If ANYONE knows of a good doctor that prescribes strong meds willingly in the Denver area please let me know. I am in desperate need of help as I am going to be SCREWED if I cannot find a good doctor. SOMEONE please help me with a doctor!!!!!
Norco breakthrough pain OxyContin morphine er at night m...will they prescribe this
My old roommate used to see this guy dr downtown boulder got everything from there I forgot his his name but if I heard it I'd know
Jlyn.. I have never been to CPR, but they aren't a "pill mill" if that's what you are looking for. People can and have been dismissed for not following the rules. You're not going to walk in off the street and just get whatever you want. I feel like you're fishing for something. If you want to know how CPR will help YOU, make an appt and see a dr.
What narcotics are u after ? They follow protocol. You cant walk in with a shopping list expext to get everything .Im on Er 40 4 duldids daily and demerol injections once weekly
So do they tend to prescribe narcotics more liberally?
CPR is like any other clinic watever u were on in past they will try to keep u on now .They dont take any insurance because they only get 25 )45 each person verses 180 per .And no red tape to follow .
From what I have read CPR (Colorado pain relief) is some clinic in wheat ridge that is a pay cash scenario. Sounds like a good place... I wish we had something like that here because my insurance with my new job is unaffordable... I have found a few clinics here in the springs but they don't like to see patients with no ins.... I may have to just suck it up and drive to Denver
Hi everyone! I hope you're all having a low pain day so far. I haven't yet been to CPR but I hope to be getting a referral this week after my last appointment with my Doc before he moved to grand junction. I have a lot of anxiety with changing doctors, just like most of us probably do now :-(
Anyways, I'm feeling OK for the first time in weeks. I want you all to know I appreciate you all. CPR is in wheatridge...
I don't know much about CPR other than you need med records and you pay for your visit... No insurance, maybe? There are several other people on this site page that will come along and help you. Or, you can read the posts from the newest backwards and you'll find info. I'm pretty sure they will treat legitimate pain fairly... But are pretty stringent regarding drug panels, etc. I'm sorry I can't be of more help...
As far as cancer pain, I don't understand not being treated for that?! What reason do your doctors give for not wanting to medicate you??
Would you recommend CPR. Are they liberal when it comes to medicating to stop chronic pain?
Can you tell me what CPR is and where
Once again I'm struggling to find a doctor that will adequately treat my cancer related pain.... AWESOME!
We're doing great far as SealeyGrowery goes. My health is being s***ty, my shunt kink might need surgery asap. Other than that we get to wake up another day Lucy.
There are really good pain management drs in Colo Springs, but you have to get a referral to see any of them. If you Google "pain management in Colorado Springs", you'll get good names. These are NOT offices like CPR, though. Good luck!
Hi. I live in springs too. I go to a clinic I Denver right now that's good but I would love to know if anyone knows of one in the Colorado Springs area too. Let me know if you have any luck
Hi All! I have moved to Colorado Springs.... Been having to go back to Oklahoma ever 3 months to get my meds... This time I have been unable to make the trip and have found myself in full withdrawal... I have severe scoliosis and associated nerve damage in my spine and I am just about to the point I cannot move. I am desperately looking for someplace close by that will see me and put this crap to rest! Please let me know if any of you know anything about clinics or dr's in the Colorado Springs area
Ty Lucy Cpr had a post on it so i freaked out .
Mike,
If I may ask, what is bringing you from Philly to Denver? Please don't be one of the many moving here because cannabis is legal! If you don't have a job lined up that pays above $60,000 a year, it will be tough around here, if you wish to live in a nicer, safer area. I only ask because I see so many people that moved here thinking cannabis is legal, I can find a job and a place and the parks and shelters are full of these folks that didn't realize it is damn expensive here. My salary is in the $84500 range, and my family has to budget our money closely, and we don't live an extravagant lifestyle!!
Parker Family Care is the clinic, Dr. West is my doctor. I am very happy so far. I thought I heard in the office that they were full and not taking new patients for now.....but it is always worth a try!
Sorry it took so long, I work nights, 12 hour shifts 3 on, 4 off....then 4 on 3 off, and have 2 young daughters involved in everythinges from orchestra to Muai Thai to skateboarding and ballet.....along with school stuff. I am flat out of time and seldom look at my email....even though I am dumb enough to have paid for a brand new Samsung Note 5!! Dumb huh?!?!
I still have to do a bunch of work on my BMW to get ready for race season this year, and I only need 2 more days in a week!
Well, good luck, I hope I was able to help ya out, and please don't mention my name as a reference. I don't know if he is one of the weirdos that doesn't like his name being spread for being a good doc!!
Wendy...Morphine E/R (extended release) is a completely drug than say Oxy 30s and dilaudids. I believe they are capping it at 300mg per day which is the most people get anyway. The Medicaid cap at 4 pills per day for shortacting (dilaudid and oxy) has been in place for over a year and hasn't changed..
