Doctors Willing To Prescribe Heavy Pain Medication In Colorado (Page 81)

Updated

I have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. I am even being placed on disability until I can get my back healed because if something doesn't change I will be in big time pain for the rest of my life. If ANYONE knows of a good doctor that prescribes strong meds willingly in the Denver area please let me know. I am in desperate need of help as I am going to be SCREWED if I cannot find a good doctor. SOMEONE please help me with a doctor!!!!!

Andy Fine was a judgmental d***** to me and wanted to wean me off methadone in a month and oxycodone the next month to be on nothing. Idk if it's just because of my age, but I DO NOT recommend him from personal experience. How old are you if you don't mind my asking?

All I know is that is a ridiculous amount of IR oxy but if they will write it they will. I am not too sure because that's a lot and it would honestly probably put their license on the line with the DEA wanting doctors to do more long acting and less break thru.

ya I know they submitted it to the DEA but I think as long as it doesn't happen again I'll be ok. Hopefully pharmacies won't be all stiff because I still have a doctor that writes me legitimate prescriptions. And it is such BS that I have this from marks on the script but oh well. What can I do now? Nothing.... So I just have to pray that Target will continue to fill my meds from SAS

Skiman who did you make the appt with? CPR or SAS? And I am not surprised that everything is changing at CPR with the pharmacy rep now a part of it. Trying to just get rid of IR oxy in general because it's the most abused just so they can have a good "rating". I know that guy just wants to make money. Why else would a cop start a pharmacy right next to the DEA. And Wendy, do you think that since I'll be flagged that pharmacies won't fill for me? I've known people that have been flagged and have been fine. It seems like it's more just to keep an eye on you to see if you do it again.

Ann! Since seeing doctors at SAS today, I am sure that they will talk through with you what u are taking. She asked me what has worked for me and then she gave some suggestions and we came to an agreement on what will work:). I am getting exactly what I want and need to live a "normal" pain free life. I know you were given an awful lot of pain meds before so I'm sure they will do their best to help you! I am happy with them!

Mac my roomate a real pharmacist high up guy. I could have him look your name right on up .I know what there doing people ir oxy is going away .The pharmacy guy is buddies with the medical reps that sale meds .They added me on a new med that is expensive made by Fentynal, it like inhaler. They won't people off oxy ir on longterm oxy and that's medicade to new Obama care keeps junkies from splitting pills or selling them .There going to stop authorize ing oxy ir if you on medicade medicare .That's where the break thru 3 pill a day thing came in .I know everyone loves rainbows new doctor but their not pain management so don't everyone got there trying to get big pain amounts you will get the Dea set off and ruin it for her .They start seeing pts like Cpr with huge pill quality their gonna shut them off .You have to be pain management to run that type of clinic .

Niki how do you know that nothing can happen now just because it didn't happen that first day? And also, I am wondering if not getting meds for 2 years helped you be able to get them. I guess I just have to wait and see until next month. There is nothing I can do, CPR told me to seek treatment elsewhere, so hopefully they aren't pushing it far and I can still get my meds filled..... It just sucks that I didn't even do anything and because of how many people they've had snake them and in turn they're so strict that even markings from a pen by the date is an automatic discharge.

Hi, All! I've been reading your posts to each other for a while... You seem really supportive and helpful! I actually went to SAS today... Niki... I was the one with the map issue!! Ha!
I have to say that Mr. Smith was the NICEST medical person I've met in a while!! He did a very thorough reading of my records and exam... And he was just super intuitive about lots of little details regarding my health. Thank you for putting the office number out there!! They were exactly what I needed in so many regards!! Hope you all are doing well :)

Mac , They won't the new pharmacist will report you and flag your chart to Dea .SAs isn't a pain management clinic stop flooding them with patients right now .You guys are going to cause red flags and get Dea attention .Patients from Cpr are on massive narcotics , if everyone starts going there Dea gonna know something up not they want to help .Than instead of cpr shut sas doors close for helping .

I was just about to say that Wendy, now I don't know if I should even call them because everyone on here keeps calling them and they are going to stop helping people. Should I even try to get an appointment now rainbow and mac? I know we try to help people on here but geez. I need help from a more stable place without judgement and others flooding them. I don't want to be mean but please don't ruin this clinic too and make them get shut down or have to change things cause mac just got done having a problem that he should not had to have period.

MAC, long story short. A few years ago Walgreens accused me of copying a script. I came to pick up script and was met with 2 cops there to speak with me! Come to find out, my dr sent me with a copy of my past script on accident instead of new one from my file!! It was a nightmare!!!!! It wasn't resolved for 2-3 days. So just letting u know that if they feel u broke law, cops would have been there. Also, my name was flagged right away in system and they said it was removed. However, like 9 months after that, I needed to fill a script of perc's and it was still there. So had to explain..blah! Blah! I have and always use Walgreens even though that happened and I have never been denied script.....

Hi Mtn Girl!! How crazy to have met you today:)!!

As for flooding this Dr, I just think people need to be smart and just ask to set up appt to find a new dr. Don't start out on phone asking for pain mgmt. I believe they legitimately will help anyone but just go in willing to talk about any issues u have with your health! She helped me with some other issues I am having with my RA and Lupus. So go in like that instead of just having pain pills on mind! That's my suggestion:)

I agree about not flooding these people with pain calls. I actually had super high blood pressure today and we worked on that plus he gave me a different naisd that doesn't irritate the stomach as badly. They are NOT a pain clinic... I have already had several injections and am in physical therapy... Which the dr today was going to refer me to (if I wasn't)... It's not a flighty place... He really did go over a ton of info with me.... So please don't go in thinking you can pull one over on this office.

There not pain management as soon as all the pill seekers wich they already have found out they can get any amount they want and not pay 180 there gonna come .That's what happen at my doctors of 9 yrs people found out he wrote oxycotin and flooded him and Dea shut it down no more pain management there .
