Doctors Willing To Prescribe Heavy Pain Medication In Colorado (Page 78)

I have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. I am even being placed on disability until I can get my back healed because if something doesn't change I will be in big time pain for the rest of my life. If ANYONE knows of a good doctor that prescribes strong meds willingly in the Denver area please let me know. I am in desperate need of help as I am going to be SCREWED if I cannot find a good doctor. SOMEONE please help me with a doctor!!!!!

Sas helped me with everything and they said they want me to choose between having a pcp and pain doc or just them and I said just them. No judgement, NO cop taking your scripts to his pharmacy to make millions, and no 180 a month, just a nice 40 copay!!! Tammy, I give you the ok. She didn't change my meds at all.

Mac glad 2 hear they didnt change nothing and choosin them as your pcp for everything I hope your happy with them as well the no judement part is the best part. So are they gonna see u monthly??? Im glad u gave them a chance

Here you go Tam: (720) 216-1298. They are great people. And they don't have a cop taking your scripts from you when you leave. Plus they accept insurance and she is an all in one PCP. She takes care of you fully, even though she's not a pain management doc.

Tammy2 they are really new so I dnt think they have a online site yet but I posted their number a few days ago when I gave it 2 mac

I have been reading this feed for a few days and posted a bit back. I have RA Lupus and Fibromyalgia. Plus just got hip replacement 4 weeks ago and I'm only 38:(. I want to say thank you everyone for being so open about your pain issues. I thought I was a bad person cause I can't function daily without pain control ?!? My rheumy wants to stop my patches and dilaudid and I'm in a panic. So I looked up SAS and have appt tomorrow at 11:30!! I hope I have as much luck as MAC and everyone else. Thank u!

Mac I'm glad that worked out for you. I'm glad there is someone still out there willing to treat people without judging. Definitely get your records from CPR and then you will have them and you can decide what to give to another provider. If somebody truly looks they will see that you were an ideal patient for 3 years and if they are smart enough they will question any negative remarks.

SAS is great. I'm just worried that I will be red flagged because CPR discharged me and in a couple weeks I won't be able to fill anything. The doctor at SAS didn't even look at previous doctor records, only my CPDMP to make sure I am not going to multiple doctors. I am just scared that next month I'll go in and they won't fill it.

I hope they can print off copies cause I just thought of it and I think cpr went to computer records but I am not 100 percent sure. I am happy that they are helping you mac, so they didn't make u sign a contract or anything?

I ask if they wanted me 2 sign a release form for dr records she said no they wld just check 2 see if I was gettin pain meds from diff drs so dnt worry mac I dnt think they wil ask for that. Wel im glad u took my info and went 2 see them and if anyone else goes 2 them I hope they will like them 2 cuz really they are here 2 help and will help as long as u dnt shop around nt sayin u do mac or any1 on here that s just their only rule oh did she tell u no UA'S

Nope no contract, and I told her I would take UAs if necessary but she just wants me to bring in my Rx bottles each time, which I'm more than happy to do. I'm just scared that a red flag will pop up on pharmacies and they won't fill my meds.....
