Doctors Willing To Prescribe Heavy Pain Medication In Colorado (Page 262)

I have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. I am even being placed on disability until I can get my back healed because if something doesn't change I will be in big time pain for the rest of my life. If ANYONE knows of a good doctor that prescribes strong meds willingly in the Denver area please let me know. I am in desperate need of help as I am going to be SCREWED if I cannot find a good doctor. SOMEONE please help me with a doctor!!!!!

Chaos u are rite fed up just read his profile and just started assuming things I talked with Mac myself a few times I knew of his conditions and family issues alittle bit but I wasn't tha 1 sayin things bout Mac I wldnt do that at all

Please be serious. I want a legal and above board certified physician who can deal with my very complicated situation. I had two high speed head on collisions within 3 years and then spent the next 3 1/2 years having 6 surgeries including two new shoulders, a three level stenosis (in my neck), a 4th level is needed but the doc choose to tackle 3 at once cuz of the pain and rehab issues so I need a neck surgeon again. My left shoulder tore shortly after surgery so did that twice only to have it tear again and is now inoperable. Had a surgery correcting a facial minor disfiguration (eye) from hitting the windshield and lastly had my right knee ortho surgery and it has gone bad again with bone on bone and a 70% tear. I have major probs with my lower back with sciatica bulging on three verts. and disc. on disc with four others. Also have stenosis and nerve impingement that causes severe spasms. Still need my left elbow joint replaced as it is now tore and to complicate all of this I was diagnosed with LYME DISEASE 6 years ago and all of my joints and muscles ache horribly. 2 months ago the info from the rhuematologist concludes very severe FIBROMYALGA. I just need a new Doc here who will continue giving me the same treatment. In fact I'm on about half as much as I was while in the surgery years. I have Imaging coming out of my eyes and recent in fact, yet when I call around and ask for medication management and open to other suggestions, but a bit broke, one would think I called them up and started cussing or something even more terrible. They seem to treat me like a filthy junk. I am even willing to keep heading in the downward direction, not like major but maybe with a bit of time in half. I'm already taking about one forth of what I had been taking due to a quack and it was my first Doc in this field, I never realized how huge the amounts were that he had me on. No excuse just too much trust, little info/research and a large amount of stupidity on my part. I am currently taking 30/5 a day and extended 80/3 a day. I need a DOC IN THE NEXT TWO WEEKS OR IM OUT 100% AND IM VERY SCARED. I live in Castle Rock which puts me directly between Denver and Colorado Springs, so I can do either. I have a new Insurance which was a bad idea because no one seems to take. It's BRIGHT HEALTH which is a Centura Group and many clinics wont even do self pay (why is that anyway?) Doc Shopping or what? I saw the earlier posts and got that number but for reasons I can not go into, can not go there. I would prefer Den but feel I have called 80%, all with No's for one or another reason but would go either direction. PLEASE HELP AND FAST! I'M SOOO VERY SCARED! ALSO AS I SAID IM WILLING TO GET A BIT LESS AND THEN CONTINUE DOWN A BIT MORE AFTER THAT-WHATEVER THEY THINK! PLEASE REPLY FAST AND WITH A COUPLE OF GOOD OR EXCELLENT IDEAS. THIS IS LEGIT AND SERIOUS!!

Concerned loved one - First, if your story is true then your son is simply convincing and doesn't mean that the clinic is the problem. Making that assumption is showing that your attempt at showing compassion for the people you THINK your son is contributing to their OD's is more important to you than the well being of HUNDREDS of patients who actually need this clinic. It's good that you're taking a stand against your son, but do just that, don't take it out on the people who need this clinic because it is your SON who is the problem here. His decisions should not affect all of the people who use CPR for legitimate help. I understand you are angry, but either you are taking it out on the wrong people, or this is all fake and you're just trying to troll and stir a pot to see who freaks when they think you are going cause them to lose their meds.
Just think it through. The news isn't going to help. Blaming doctors for your sons problems isn't going to help. Making threats isn't going to help. The ONLY thing that is going to HELP, is getting your SON, help.

Hey, I don't know you but I'm searching for a doctor that will help long term chronic pain problems. I live in a very rural Colorado area. I have records that follow with MRI/X-ray's/lab results/and years of medical records..that shows over five years of chronic medical history. I won't get too detailed but if u look at me I am plainly ill by eye sight. my medical history as proven by medical records that my health has continued to go down hill since 2007.. through the years I have had so many surgeries..you could probably unzip me.. as I have had more surgeries than I care to admit. From colon surgery to a thyroid removal..to c-section..to a Gastric sleeve..and this was to better my health as I was quickly deteriorating. After 8 children my weight got out of control. At that time in my life I suffered from severe sleep apnea and my husband ..many times saved my life as it was proven that I would quit breathing over ten times in a night. I was totally cpap depended on high....I had severe diabetes until I was forced too require three shots daily..my goal was to gain control of my health so that I could complete my degree that I had worked so hard for..as throughout my life I not only had and raised 8 kids but I also worked 15 years as a lead Cna -lead for locked Alzheimer unit as well as regular rotations on hip and joint replacement. I worked three years before that as a Emt in Pueblo. Anyways the area I live in is three hours from the nearest specialist.. one way. so two ways is six hours not counting any time for any appointments, etc? I do not own a car.. but truth is, in 2013 myself and my husband were nearly killed in a car accident so we both received a spinal Injury. So to make a long story short my area ..it has become impossible to find a doctor that will help us with our pain levels.. instead they refuse everything even weaker stuff ..instead although we have been evaluated by U/A's and have never had anything bad.. never broke a pain contract..went through any and all diagnostics ever requested etc and never failed.. yet suddenly we get treated like we abuse yet for no reason... So for years we have been on chronic meds. I have records that show how I was started on low dose meds 5 mg.. then a year later about my pain worsened with more diagnosis. That now include a malnutrition disorder requiring my blood to require every two to three month iron iv.. infusion. I have been taking inj's. in the spine and hips as I also have Severe OA through out my spine ..in both hips.. in the accident my neck was injured where now if I turn my neck either way up and down or back in forth it sends sharp pains down my spine and loud enough so people near me can hear the clicking noises my neck now makes as it is moved.. the pain of the weight on my neck from the weight of my neck is so painful I hurt so bad in so many ways.. I can't even explain how many different ways I can't describe it ..I never knew that there was this many different pains. I now am left with stabbing pains that wake me in the middle of night screaming and kicking.. it feels like a ice pick being stabbed into either my feet .. or my mid legs ..I'll get a different pain up my mid back. About bra level or between my shoulder blades I have yet another pain that again I never knew was pain.. but I have no other way to describe the pain except burning ....severe burning...I didn't know burning..stabbing was a pain.I kind of remember burning when I was giving birth but I remember that it was near the end of my many many hours after hard..hard labor usually after more than 20 ish hours...in severe pain...so although it was severe pain it was the end.. the pain would be gone. This never goes away without major medications. that includes a patch and two-three 15mg oxy...daily as well as neurontin in very high doses and depression and anxiety medications. Yet with no slow lowering or tapering off.. they just quit giving all meds. I'm not sure what to do.. I know I'm left unable to care for my children and bed ridden. I'm searching for any advice for a doctor. I am one that is pending disability with a lawyer. Please in Denver..saliva..springs..Pueblo, anywhere that will help with severe chronic pain as well as other medical problems with records.... please if u know any one that can give me advice on who to see.. I have such a lengthy medical history that I need constant medical support, yet because of so many drug shoppers I am left with 3 kids on government assistance and gov medical insurance..no pain relief ..pain of all different kinds that I never knew existed...I'm unable to almost breathe due to pain.. I can't breathe deep which medical knowledge states may cause pneumonia ending in your demise. I'm unable to hold any job as I don't think any one would hire me as I look very sick. I have lost all my hair... almost like chemo.. infection finally took my teeth.. the medical insurance doesn't allow for enough money to get my dentures etc.. so now eating has become a challenge for me.. I'm already unable to get enough nutrition in me. As my stomach is now forever small and unable to get proper nutrition already.. so ya I'm lost
in pain..no income..waiting for disability. I know this is long and detailed but I can hopefully get names and numbers to doctors that might be able to help me so I stand a chance to possibly be able to care for my last three children. Please if anyone knows a doctor that isn't so scared that they don't help you in any way.. one that will care.

I'm 27 and I'm terrible pain my pain dr dropped me and it's not fair I haven't done anything wrong he did it bc he said I was getting my meds from "multiple providers" which I wasn't I had moved AND ASKED him if I could find someone else while I was gone and HE SAID YES the dr I even was seeing verified it and he said it was okay and now he's saying no one verified anything which is bs AND THEY ARE SAYING I REFUSED A UA which I didn't I just couldn't go.....I'm sooooo furious these Drs are suppose to HELP not just cut us off and leave us sooooo can you guys help me???? I need a NEW PAIN DOC in CO Springs????

My heart bleeds for you. Please take the time to read back to the beginning as you have time. Oftentimes a docs name will get mentioned and then that doc gets deluged (both with legit and drug seeking) patients and it affects the legit ones because that practice either stops prescribing altogether or they raise their rates so a docs name will not reappear but their name will be in the original post. I know it is more time than you probably can stand but its the only good advice I can give you. I can tell you that I know of NO pain specialists that take Medicaid (most are cash only now..a few take other insurance plans but not Medicaid). Be forewarned ..most of them charge an initial consult fee anywhere from 200-500 bux and then monthly ranges from about 150-250. I know it still blows my mind that even though I am on SSI (btw I initially hired a well know law firm that specializes in SSI and they weren't doing anything for me so I took it on myself which wasnt difficult and I was approved within 6 months) yet I have to pay cash for the doc but now also for some of the meds. It adds up to over $300 month which is not much less than SSI pays. But these are the times and the quality of life has gone way done, close to nonfunctional..and then they wonder why illicit drug use and overdoses are a huge problem that transcends race, religion, economic, etc. I know several "soccer" Moms using it because they can't get properly medicated and ironically, it becomes the only way they can even get out of bed each day. We need massive changes so I encourage all of you to let your local politician know what its like to walk a mile in our shoes. I will pray for you. Godspeed.

Dr. Dex ...expensive but caring. Been there going on 2 years and I literally pray to God every night thanking him that I have this doc. Its been posted on here a few times now.

I am doing ok. Yes, I do go to CPR, and have been since they first opened up and they had Dr. May on staff. They are not a pill mill, you get U/A's every month, you must have annual blood work done by your P.C.P. to verify liver enzymes are healthy, they do all your vitals, keep records and provide receipts. They do not handle anything your P.C.P. should and they communicate with your Primary Care Physician. Do you think Medicare, Medicaid, Kaiser, United and others are just plain dumb and paying for a pill mill? These allegations are insulting. I feel for Nate's mom, being a mom and grandma, I know how heartbreaking it is to sit back and watch your child destroy their life, but remember it is their life, their journey on this earth and no matter how much we know that we know better, they need to live their life.

Call Colorado Pain Relief and see if they take Medicare, I don't know that either.

Darla, is it (CPR) COLORADO PAIN RELIEF that you can't go to? If so, I realize you can't go into it, but they are the easiest, laid back, and most reasonably priced place in Colorado. They really do not take insurance and they are cash pay.
I pray you find a Dr.
Pain makes life not worth living, trust me I know!

Thank you so much. I am a terminally ill man, age 30 and my pain dr dropped me with a three day notice. They told me today Friday that starting Monday they are no longer treating chronic pain.

Tammy mac686 and Janet yes I feel we that have diseases that did not ask for them yet they cause us sever pain and the government comes in and tells us we can't have our pain meds any more !
