Doctors Willing To Prescribe Heavy Pain Medication In Colorado (Page 252)
UpdatedI have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. I am even being placed on disability until I can get my back healed because if something doesn't change I will be in big time pain for the rest of my life. If ANYONE knows of a good doctor that prescribes strong meds willingly in the Denver area please let me know. I am in desperate need of help as I am going to be SCREWED if I cannot find a good doctor. SOMEONE please help me with a doctor!!!!!
Hi, could you please let me know what doctor you found. I have been on methadone for 25 years, and my doctor is retiring, so I need to find a new one. Thank you
Hi guys, and administrator
Why are our posts disappearing? Wendy, I notice that your posts, mine and another posters are all taken down today! Why is this!!!
What is the point of this board if we can discuss meeting up?
Posting docs name shouldn't be the only posts allowed, I worry about the docs privacy and safety. It seems like Colorado pain relief posts always stay up, is the administrator promoting that clinic above others?
Hi Jane Doe & others,
To answer your questions, we only take down messages which violate our terms of use. To clarify, we do not allow our forums to be used in a way which might compromise an individual's privacy and identity. This includes sharing personal contact information as well as messages which are strictly about arranging meet ups and do not provide any other clinical information beyond that. Furthermore, soliciting a service to other users for a fee (such as charging people money for a doctor referral) is not allowed on here. Users engaging in such behavior will not be permitted to post new messages on the site.
Lastly, we have allowed messages which mention Colorado Pain Relief in the past because it provides the name of an actual pain clinic. We would allow any other doctor or pain clinic to be mentioned on our site in an informational way (as long as it is not a sales pitch), but unfortunately it seems that many do not feel comfortable sharing that information in a free and open way and would rather try to arrange meet ups to broker such information. So we definitely do not favor or promote them above others, it's just that no one else has really shared the names of other clinics.
We always strive to provide a helpful service for everyone, but we must also maintain privacy on the site. We hope that this has helped to clarify things. Please do not hesitate to contact us if there are any other questions.
Admin, you allowed Wendy's posts to stay up in November, Dec, etc, now when people desperately need that info, you take it down?
Also many of us just want to commiserate in person, shouldn't that be allowed?
cecei6, I went thru a lot of trouble to help u.. Would love to know the results
Jane Doe -
"you allowed Wendy's posts to stay up in November, Dec, etc, now when people desperately need that info, you take it down?" Yes, we had to take down a number of Wendy's messages from previous months once we saw them because they did not contain any clinical or detailed information in them. Rather, she was only trying to solicit meetings in person and charge a fee for the information.
"Also many of us just want to commiserate in person, shouldn't that be allowed?" We have no problem with that, however, our platform displays messages publicly for anyone on the internet to see. Because of this we cannot be held responsible if someone's safety or privacy are compromised as a result of such meet ups, so we simply choose to prohibit the posting of meeting details on our site.
As we stated before, we would encourage users to share helpful information about good doctors or pain clinics on our forums directly.

Text him short and sweet. He will respond via text or a call. His visits are every other month averaging to $160/mo. U/A every visit. I happen to have a lot of respect for him. He really does care although it takes a visit or two to see that side. Good luck and pls let me know what happens. I don't mind helping people out but it drives me CRAZY when the posting by that person stops and you don't know what happened...and if they tried and/or started treatment and where. That's why I suggest people do what I did 2 years ago. I read back to the very first post to the most current and took notes along the way.
I went to Wendy's doctor. All he wanted to do is give me a shot, and now I'm in so much pain i could scream. And I'm pissed that I paid money to see him. Even if he accepts Medicaid he does what he wants regardless of what your old doctor had you on. I would never thought that I'd be played so dirty by this lady. She takes money and gives BS info. That's how my visit went. So I'm real pissed she gave me her number and never helped me at all. $180 for a referral to the doctor to even make an appointment. Don't call her, it's a scam.
Lucy - Thank you so much for sharing some helpful information on here.
Cecei6 - We are sorry to hear that Wendy took your money and was not helpful. This is the exact reason why we do not allow such activities on here. Solicitation of services or information to charge people money is strictly prohibited and we will promptly ban any users who exhibit such behavior.
What would a doctor's privacy or safety have to do with their names being on this page.....a site for the issue that they treat?!?! Doctors advertise.....they pay for advertising....but yet word of mouth is by far the best advertising there is.
I know cpr has been on here a lot... I still go there and love it.. They have a new PA and she's amazing and Hector is there to help her.. I'm happy I choose to stay with cpr.
Wow, you people have big problems. Just get kratom for pain. Truly a miracle. No side effects. I get it from happy hippo herbals.
Hi Scott, I have tried purchasing kratom and cannot find anyone that sells it retail. Could you point me in the right direction please? Thank you.
Cecei6....TRY CALLING MOUNTAIN PAIN AND MEDICAL. ..THEY ARE AMAZING. THEY CHARGE $225 FOR THE FIRST VISIT AND 150 MONTHLY. THE OFFICE VISITS ARE MORE THAN JUST A 5 MINUTE VISIT. THEY ARE SENDING ME TO AN ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON TO GET MY MENISCUS FIXED AND SENT ME FOR UPDATED MRI'S TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MY BACK HAS WORSENED. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.
SCOTT
I GOOGLED HAPPY HIPPO HERBAL AND IT SAID SOMETHING ABOUT THE KRATOM IS NOT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION AND THAT IT'S FOR MAKING SOAP?
SCOTT
Try not to be so judgy wudgy. I would put money on the line that 99% of us would trade our meds for a vitamin supplement that would enable us to be pain-free or just functional for that matter.
That's just messed up how Wendy played you.... I didn't think she would do that. I wonder how many other ppl she did that 2 but you are the 1st to tell us..I'm sorry. Do you have a Dr now or are you going back to your old Dr.? I can't believe she did that.... You should read back a few pages or you can search mmd, they are really good.

Dex is a huge advocate for methadone as a long-acting pain reliever.
CECEI6..
I am very surprised by your response. Am I losing what is left of my mind in recalling that your husband and yourself met that Doc and were so impressed with his knowledge and that he had given you both hope that you had lost years ago. In fact, your praise of this doc cemented my commitment to trying him out. I thought he was great. I received some injections in my neck area and they worked wonderfully. Unfortunately they have a short shelf life and I would need one at least every third day for continuous relief and UBERing it from Englewood to Louisville even once a week would cost me than paying cash for my current doctor. He was going to continue with the meds I am currently on,,,it would have been wonderful if I drove in which case I might have given him a chance. So what am I missing and who did you end up going to...did you go back to CPR?? Are you and your Mom feeling better??
Hi. What kind of breakthrough meds does Dr Dex typically prescribe with the methadone? I'm currently seeing Dr Lincoln, but I would like better pain relief/quality of life. I've talked to Dex on the phone once and have been thinking about seeing him. Thanks for any information you might have to share.
