Doctors Willing To Prescribe Heavy Pain Medication In Colorado (Page 24)

I have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. I am even being placed on disability until I can get my back healed because if something doesn't change I will be in big time pain for the rest of my life. If ANYONE knows of a good doctor that prescribes strong meds willingly in the Denver area please let me know. I am in desperate need of help as I am going to be SCREWED if I cannot find a good doctor. SOMEONE please help me with a doctor!!!!!

Colorado pain relief in wheat ridge, co dr may should be still good but like most they are changing things because of the dea so as long as u have records to back u you will be ok.

Thank u! I am setting up an appointment tomorrow. I have a referral for pain management from spin one where I got my injections. U think this we be enough for them?? Or should I have spine one fax over my MRIs. Thanks!

No i never saw but 1 person did think it was me but the only thing i said was info on a doctor.I agree it makes it harder 4 us who needthe pain meds and myself as well my brother od on percocect when he was 20
So i take all this very seriously

Ya Rainbow I lost my 28 year old sister two months before my 21st birthday because of being over prescribed and not being her own doctor in the sense of not going past the point of what's safe. And we had been planning on going to Vegas for years before my 21st. Now I don't even want to think about going to Vegas. So I'm right there with you. Plus now I never see my niece or nephew on top of losing my sister. So I take it very seriously as well. That's why the whole "you are so judgmental towards people who abuse them." Is ridiculous. I am not judgmental. I'm genuinely worked about what is happening in this country. FAR too many people abuse them and it isn't right. You're putting the doctor at risk of losing his or her license and you're making everyone who takes them be viewed as junkies and making it harder for them to get what they need to live a semi normal life simply be cause you want to feel high. So I absolutely don't approve of it. If your friend shot you up with H that doesn't give you the right to be prescribed a ton of meds to make yourself high on when you don't have the necessary pain simply now because you're addicted. You get treatment. Not your own taking pills to get high treatment. And btw this isn't directed to you Rainbow. It is to Good girl too who supposedly has the 5 doctors that will load you up on heavy meds but she only wants the people who are addicts to know who the doctors are and not the real pain patients who are actually in need of those meds.

Reading more since some ppl think im cool with ppl just gettin high on pain meds im nt like i said i my last post my brother who was 20 did and his doctor knew it. Instead of helpin him he helped kill him. That was 10yr ago before i moved 2 colorado. I would never give info on here just 4 some1 2 feel high. I have been in pain with my back since 2003. IT was so bad i cld never pick upmy baby i had at tha time. It's like my lower back sits ontop of my butt cuz my of my degenerative thats past advance in L4 L5 plus bulgin disc and arthritis and disc narrowing ect.i cld go on and on plus Im waiting 4 possibility hysterectomy due 2 half of my uterus is full of fiborids and right ovary is full of cyst. Im nt snappin at you i just feel some comments were made at me and i never said those things. I dnt mind tellin ppl why i use pain meds but after rereadin sum comments i felt like i had 2. BUT im on ur side and i agree tha ppl who abuse just 4 fun makes it hard 4 us who really need it. Thats why i ask u on tha patches cuz im on percocet and since thats what killed my brother u bet i follower ALL directions 2 a T ALWAYS I NEVER CHEAT no matter how much i hurt til tha next dose and im SCARED 2 add another med just cuz of my brother. THANKS MAC686 i needed 2 let that out i feel way better i hope u dnt feel as if i was being rude. I've kept that in so long u have no idea....

Hey Tammy. I called them today and also found out for u that they do have opening on Wednesday morning. I can't get in till prob Thursday they Said. I'm facing my MRI to them tomorrow. Thanks!

Rocky mountain internal medicine have same day apts and u can bring in all mri and other paper wk with what ever you are goin thru

I just started pain managment here in pueblo. I know why its so tuff because the dea was here in town about 6 to 9 mos ago my freakin surgeon dr danuchulk who perform surgery twice refer me to them after3 mos. Of doing surgery because they are scared of the dea i feel you shouldnt be surgeon if you so scared get the f*** out of business of helping people. Hi my name is Monica ,I saw one of Ur posts about Ur doc in Denver,I've been on pain meds for 4 yrs.fentanyl 100 mcg and 180 perc, 10's for break through pain,I have so many problems and have been diagnosed,never abused meds,street drugs but finding a doc,here in grand junction is a joke ,my pain dr,lost his license temp,for a case 10 yrs ago so I was going to CPR and they released me to cover there own asses just because I got a consult from a new pain clinic here in junction,said I was dr,shopping it was just a consult ,no meds were prescribed,so I've been coming off my meds and no one will help,lost my job,my life and about to loose my house,I just need a doc that will help,I've never failed a ua in 4 yrs,if u can please help cause living like this is no life,if it wasn't for my girls I would have checked out .

Unfortunately I don't know of any other doctors besides CPR. I'm sorry for your hardship. Next time try letting your current doctor know that you are going to see another one for a consultation before you do so. They are just super strict because of how many people doctor shop and work the system. Don't get mad at CPR. They have had SOOOO many people abuse the system which has put them in a bad spot. Blame the drug seekers and recreational users. There is a lady on here who supposedly knows 5 doctors that will write whatever you want but because we are "judgmental" of people who are addicted with no pain she won't share the info. And this is why we are judgmental about people who abuse the system and take meds to make themselves feel high, because it screws over so many legitimate people who really need them. I'm sorry that this happened to you and if I knew of another practice I would tell you.... I'm sorry. You might just have to try doctor after doctor now that you're not under contract with CPR anymore.

Grand Junction is known to have a great medical system, including pain management due to the amt of elderly citizens living in the general area! Not sure why u would drive to Wheatridge for care but I agree with Mac! I talked to CPR regarding my concerns of driving during the winter, im a good fifty minutes away! They didn't have an issue as long as I let them know! There r still some really good pain med Dr's here but difficult to get into! Colorado Rehab has tons of offices and lots of Dr's but they aren't easy to get into! Most of the other Dr's require another Dr's referral and some will only take referrals from certain Doc's! Hind sights always 20/20 but talking to your Dr is always the best! Check out "Dr's Against Pain"! Although most there do interventional medicine, they do have other referral groups for u to check out! I really encourage u to check out the Grand Junction area, they have an excellent medical system there! Good luck!
