I have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. I am even being placed on disability until I can get my back healed because if something doesn't change I will be in big time pain for the rest of my life. If ANYONE knows of a good doctor that prescribes strong meds willingly in the Denver area please let me know. I am in desperate need of help as I am going to be SCREWED if I cannot find a good doctor. SOMEONE please help me with a doctor!!!!!

I highly recommend the switch to 10mg oxys ASAP from percs. Several pain doctors over the years have made the correlation to its effect on the liver and/or kidneys. Keep us posted. One of the main services of this chat room is to be a (virtual) shoulder to "cry" on. And to prove wiser from those who have been down this long and winding road.

No I haven't. The only pain clinic that I have ever gone to is Colorado Pain Relief. I have been there since it opened with Dr May.

Jo, this forum is for Colorado only, I believe you said you are from NC which I think is North Carolina. Dr. Shawn is also here in Colorado. Look up the North Carolina medschat thread, that will be more helpful to you. Good luck.

If you are not living in one of the 6 states that kratom is illegal, you can order it online. My favorite by a longshot is happy hippo herbals.

Jetmech, u are so lucky! Even if we follow the rules, they are below limits of fed. Dr's or practice managers are saying tough luck. Why those of us that haven't abused, played by the rules are getting shut out, I don't understand. It's amazing how many docs say no to legal pain meds but say u can smoke etc even though that is illegal, no quality control etc. They have no plan to wean us off or even care. I would love to find a good primary care doc even if I have to go concierge.

I haven't heard of them. I am lucky in that my primary doc handles pain management.....as long as the rules are followed. She said they have been shedding most pain patients....but she said that she has never had any issue with me, so I am good to stay there.

DR SHAWN IS AMAZING. ..YES I PAY OUT OF POCKET AND MY LONG TERM MED WHICH IS 100MG OF MORPHINE 3XS DAILY, I PAY OUT OF MY POCKET AS WELL. ..BUT IT'S WORK IT BECAUSE THAT'S THE ONLY WAY I CAN GO EURO EVERYDAY AND EVEN WITH THAT IT KEEPS ME AT A PAIN LEVEL OF 7. BUT SHE DOES SO MUCH AND IS SO GOOD TO HER PATIENTS. I'M SO GRATEFUL FOR THEM.

Smalls if you read up on Kratom you are not supposed to take it at the same time you take pain meds. I take a dose of Kratom instead of a dose of pain meds, so I end up taking less pain meds.

I agree with you on Lincoln he wants to hear wat your needs are and wat is best for you he just don't walk in then walk out he listens and true wit tha addicts cuz if u recall that happen wit tha smiths and it was crazy but Lincoln is smart and pays attention and can spot 1 on your their 1st visit I seen it 1st hand after that gal drop her UA they said they cldnt see her gave her tha money back and I have heard that girls on tha fone sayin u just seen tha Dr u can't be out and won't let them come in and go 2 another Dr come for there appt and be fired he keeps his office clean no addicts and respectable that's why I like it so much but he did go up $25 when ppl started flooding his office but he is worth it but at least you know you can talk with him and he don't see red flags or think your a addict he will be cool and help as long as your honest wit him but how you doin u ok life treating you good

Rainbow Flowers, you are exactly correct it is nerve pain, in both legs. I'm on lyrica, and I have a fat stomach,I don't eat a lot. I eat a lot of vegetables, no bread only 12 grain. I'm on an ER, it's Ms, seems to work well. As for my BT, the 10/325, I don't want a higher dose, just a few more because at times I have to take 1more extra, on days that I do PT. I didn't ask him in the manner that I just did , so like you said, talk to him. So the office does seem to have a lil more CP Patients, but he is so smooth, my wait have even become shorter . We talk he does exam, etc, but always he asks, "Can . I help you with anything else" thx for ur reply
Rainbow it was nice hearing from you- imo I was hoping that CPR s patient would eventually go back, now that they 're open again.
Gosh I want to help ppl that need a good, but I would be devastated if I were unable to go to Metro clinic.
I also wonder what Lincoln would say, if He/she knew their info [as far as getting flooded] Addicts ruin it for all, I don't want that to happen be cuz of 1 bad Apple, but Lincoln is no dummy.
How are you? Wow your job sounds very strenuous on your body. Do u hafta lift? If so is is a lot and how often?
