I am a mom/wife of 27 years have children and now grandchildren who is desperately looking for a primary care doctor who prescribes Norco and has no problem with me using medicinal Medicine as well. I used the two medications for two different type of elements. Without my medicinal years I would be in the hospital on feeding tubes. I can't eat nor keep anything inside of me without my medicinal Medicine. My Norco helps with the tremendous excruciating pain that I live with every day. I am looking in the Salem / Albany / Woodburn Oregon area. I am desperate needing a good doctor who can help me also with my medical problems. I have so many a very complicated case. Quality of life is very important to me so I can be a good mom and enjoy my time with my kids with what time I have left. I am considered long term terminal which means I get to suffer with tremendous amount of pain until I can't fight nature anymore. If you can help with the name or phone number it would be such a blessing. Thank you

Do you still go to these doctors? Can you give me information on how I could see them? I am not opposed to traveling for a doctor willing to help me.

I hate this state so much. I've lived here my whole life and have always been treated like crap by the healthcare system. They always have a reason not to take my pain seriously. Have you managed to keep your prescriptions all this time?

Looking for a dr and pain management clinic to perscribr me pain meds in vancouver was. My problem is my insurance is molina. I have been on oxycodone or percocet for a couple years now and a the sudden dr.s are acting scared to write scripts? Which is less regulated Oregon or Washington? I have severe crohns disease and arthritis. Need help soon getting cut off.

I have been with my dr for 5 years.She is leaving I need a Dr to prescribe my pain meds in med Oregon she says I am model patient do you know of any drs.My meds were prescribed by a pain specialist for her to dispense.

I just moved from n.j to Portland and no proble switching my pain meds to oregon....I take opana 40mg. (Equal to 80mg oxycintin,15 mg oxycodone,10mg valium,300mg gabapentin...no problem!!!!my dr from jersey sent all records ahead of time so i had no prooblem getting same dose on all meds...maybe u guys r going about it the wrong way....

Your doctor didnt refer you to someone. What's wrong with these doctors? Are they f***in crazy unbelievable! What I wonder about is whether the drug companies will lose money. They created this mess. Now no one wants to deal with it. WoW!

My doctor just closed his office and so I am trying to find doctor who will prescribe pain meds as I have degenerative disc disease in lower back, neck problems with pinched nerves and rotator cuff problems in right shoulder! No doctor I find will prescribe pain meds. I have recently been on Percocet 10/325 twice a day but nothing else. I am in constant pain. Not sure where to go!

Listen, what these drs are doing to chronic pain patients in Oregon is criminal. if you have been a compliant patient and are now in pain and fear call your senator merkley 503-326-3386. this is an election year, they are suppossed to care about us. I promise you enough people call we will be heard. this is wrong and unfair to let people who truly have pain suffer. because rgay did a study. not everyone is the same. it will take everyone to do this. you know the senate was involved in these changes. I watched on senate congressional hearings Bernie Sanders and Trump talk about a revolution, lets start one and everyone keep everyone updated. we have to fix this or there will be lots of people suffering. it is going to get worse if we do not make our voices heard. God Bless and lets do it.

I just called the number and they told me I was not allowed to go to the Woodburn Clinic. I was seen by a very verbally abusive doctor named Stacey Boyd..., from that clinic for two visits back in 2008. I remember feeling very frustrated and angry at the way the doctor spoke down to me and accused me of seeking pain meds. I tried to explain to her that she didn't understand my pain and I wanted test, but she refused. Then, she told me it was her last week in the clinic and then left the room. I cried and left, and within a week I received a letter of discharge from that clinic. I wrote a letter trying to explain how the doctor treated me, but obviously that didn't make a difference. I just called and they said, "You were discharged from this clinic after seeing a doctor twice in 2008." I instantly remembered this ordeal and now I wish I had filed a complaint at the time. I was in so much pain, and trying to raise two children as a single parent. I was on a journey to find what was causing me pain and went through a series of doctor's in Oregon who just thought I wanted pain medication. It was exhausting and I finally gave up on doctors. I started seeing alternative medicine doctors and they believed and treated my pain, but eventually it became unbearable. In the end, after having two MRI's I was diagnosed with labral tears in my hips and a rare disorder called Ehler's Danlos Syndrome (EDS). Also, I have had fibromyalgia for years. Thank God for Obama Care since it allowed me to get insurance without being denied from having a pre-existing condition. Funny, how insurance companies could deny people insurance based on a pre-existing condition, that the doctor's wouldn't even acknowledge needed treatment.
I wanted to share this with you, because it's important to file a complaint immediately, after you've experienced a bad encounter with a doctor before they can discharge you for no good reason. If you disagree with a doctor and they discharge you, I would file a complaint and go online and write as many reviews as you can.
I have excellent insurance now and can go anywhere I choose. I choose to see a doctor that listens to me and cares about my treatment, and if that means I should take pain meds, so be it. The Woodburn Family Clinic doesn't EVER prescribe pain meds and will not treat anyone who is on a pain managment contract with someone.
This is not a good number to call:)

Personally i am not receiving the help that I need...but OFTEN after speaking to a GOOD LOCAL Pharmacist OR pharmacy in your area can net great results. Im aware of a person at Rite Aide pharmacy in KEIZER (sp?) that is in the pharmacy that may be able to give you information about local doctors or offices that are actually helping people. I do know in the salem area that there's a fibromyalgia clinic that may not necessarily be able to treat you unless fibro is also an issue you have, but they may know of other pain management offices that could/would help you...take care and best of luck to you!!??

Thanks so much for trying to help. Yes, I saw Dr. Balog years ago and he left Legacy to open his own clinic. He started his new clinic and made me pay $1600 up front, even when I had insurance. I paid because I was in severe pain and needed him to perform a nucleoplasty on my bulging disc. However, his office wouldn't return phone calls because he hadn't hired staff yet and his irresponsible/arrogant business partner treated me very rudely. I was a single parent on limited income, so I panicked thinking his new office wasn't handling things legitimately since it had been a month without a returned phone call. I loved Dr.Balog and actually referred many people to him. Then, one day, he called me and said he would no longer treat me since I didn't trust him & his partner. I tried explaining that his personal assistant(Dave) wasn't answering my calls, and I was desperate to get my $ back. All my friends said it was unusual and unprofessional. I was even more suspicious since he left Legacy so abruptly, w/out notice. Bottom line, his pride came first and he decided to let me go as a patient. From that point on, I saw Dr. Strateholtzer at Legacy, and I understood why Dr. Blog left Legacy.
Legacy and many other clinics were really cracking down on doctors prescribing pain meds. Dr. Balog wanted to call his own shots. Just wish he had continued to value me as a long time patient instead of listening to his assistant. Over hearing my concerns. I was devistated and he's one of a few reasons I gave up on doctors for 7 years.

I've noticed now that I'm 50 years of age of been properly diagnosed with specific disorders that doctors actually believe exist. Problem is if you lived in Oregon and had pain for years, seeking doctors for help, it looks like your drug seeking. All it takes is one or two doctors assuming you are and putting it in your notes, and you're screwed. I stayed away from doctors for 8 years because I was fed up, and still my past haunts me when I see a new primary and they say we don't provide pain medication. I did meet a wonderful Doctor Who took me seriously but he's moving in writing a book now so I'm going to lose him.

I too am a long time patient of Dr Forest Tennant. He is a compassionate, amazing doctor. I was hopeless before finding him. I plan to move to Portland OR area but will continue to travel back to West Covina every few months to seek treatment from him. Well worth it.
