Doctors Who Prescribe Methadone (Page 10)

I am addicted to strong pain meds and I am tired of having to come off of them, the withdrawal is awful. I went to a urgent care doc and was prescribed suboxone. I take anxiety meds too but he wants me to stop. I really need the anxiety meds but he wants me off them. How do I get him to change it from suboxone to methadone so I can take my anxiety meds?

I know for a fact you can get prescribed to Methadone AND benzos at the same time...with the dose not mattering. I was going to a methadone clinic for 2yrs on 200mgs a day and my family doc. of course knew that and still prescribed me 1mg xanax 4 times a day. I did have to take drug panels for my family doc. and the clinic. I do have severe anxiety dis-orders and PTSD so maybe they took that into consideration...I dont know.

Hi Peach75, I'm on suboxone and, also, Klonopin 4 anxiety. Some doctors will prescribe both of them together. While other doctors don't feel comfortable doing it.

I don't know if anyone else agrees with me but here goes. I am getting lost in some of these "comments", they are getting so long. I know people want to get their point across and get the details out there, I just think they could be brief. Just saying.

i take xanax 2mg 120 a month, adderall 90 mg a day, and subutex 16mg a day, and have for 4 years. No problem with the dr or pharmacy ever.

I know for a fact that you can get an addiction specialist to write u a script for methadone and benzos or clonopin,but granted, they don't like to. They'd rather give u suboxone or subjutex,but an addiction dr can do it for sure.

go to a clinic they will take you right in even if your not an addict.aS FOR ALL THE OTHER MIS INFORMATION GIVEN IN THESE THREADS...DONT TALK ABOUT WHAT A DR. CAN AND CANT DO IF YOU DONT KNOW FOR A FACT .THERE IS SO MUCH INFORMATION THAT IS ABSOLOUTLY FALSE ON HERE.MY ADVICE IS TO STAY OFF PAGES THAT OFFER "PERSONAL EXPERIENCES,THOUGHTS" AND GO DIRECTLY TO THE PROFESSIONAL WEBSITES WITH FACTS AND PHONE NUBERS TO GET ANSWERS. Um I take Xanax a Methadone and my doctors are fine with it! I am looking for a place to prescribe methadone because I work in a medical facility and have been clean for 6 years! Does anyone know of a doc in CT of New England area?

hey im on the exact dose of all 3 meds you are on,.....rock on! i love waking up every morning and taking a 30mg adderall a few bars and 8 mg of sub....its great....i feel great everyday

@NoName....It's okay no name. I know I tend to get long winded when writing. I apologize. But nobody is forcing you to read those long posts either. Just skip over them. Easy solution.

Hey where is the doc that prescribed methadone for addiction and pain too? I can't afford the clinic 450 a month and go in every morning is the problem I read on one of your posts you found one that scripts it..

Jo, most of the time I do skip over them. I will start but to me more isn't always better. Everyone is different. Whatever works for you. Good luck!

Man it's 15buck-roose here, this trips me out cuz in California its whatever, some days nothing. I'm in North Carolina. And got on meth to get off a deadly habit of Fentanyl and oxys. Methadone has always helped me with my spine pain. I hate pain clinics, Especially the ones that will give you anything, except a nice warm shot of Tar. Can U say Amsterdam anyone. No but truly if that was around all the time it would cost the same, but promotes a horrible life. Illegal, no veins, hep C, hyper anxiety, racing pulse, all that. So for me the desire to be out in the street coping, and all that bull crap long has lost its enticement. Unfortunately , I have to have something for my pain. My word would be if*_I didn't need It, man I would NEVER COMPLECATE MY LIFE THE WAY I HAVE HAD TOO. But God has never ever left me.He has always made a way.

Anyone know of any doctors that prescribe methadone in the pill form in the Md area? Particularly in the Brooklyn Park/Curtis Bay area I'm currently on a program which is liquid and you walk in the clinic I also have takehomes been off of H for 5yrs. So just tired off going to the clinic where people aren't clean it's like a gas and go THANKS for any help....

I'm looking for a doctor who can prescribe methadone for opiate deprndance. I have been on it for 10 years and I moved to my hometown where there is no methadone clinics around... I'm just looking good for a doctor that can help me... Anyone know of a doctor who can prescribe methadone for maintenance.. I would love to know own who and where he is... I'm in desperate need of this.. Can anyone help me with a name?

I know for a FACT that a dr can prescribe both, i get valium and methadone, come to alabama and pay me the $1,000.00 you brag about. Would you like a picture of the scripts???

You might just have to go to a MMT clinic. Better than no meds and severe pain, and the HPPA laws prevent them from telling any Dr or facility that u attend the clinic without your written consent. Downside is having to go daily for your dose. Last ditch effort..
