Difference In Fioricet Pills

Updated

Have used generic Fioricet from Qualitest for quite some time. They helped with migraines. Now all of a sudden my pharmacy is using Watson-the blue pill and I cannot take them. They make me nauseous and do nothing for the pain. There is a difference in manufacturers. Anyone else have this problem or a solution.

Yes, there can sometimes be differences in the substances in medications from one manufacturer to another.

Unfortunately, some people are very sensitive to these differences and end up with medications that will not work for them.

The only real solution would be to ask the pharmacy if they can get the other ways back in stock for you or call around to other pharmacies to see if they carry it.

Are you doing any better, yet?

Have called around to different pharmacies but they are all going to blue Watson. Guess I'll just have to stop taking them.

I started Suboxone treatment approximately 4 yrs ago. Things have changed first orange sublingual pill, next strip, now white sublingual tablet. I am not at all satisfied with the tablet I need it more often than the strips. Can a generic medicine have less of the active ingredient than brand drugs? If so how is that legal?

I hate the capsules! They make me sick to my stomache no matter if I take it with food or not! I like the Watson white tablets better. I also had to pay $300. For the capsules for 120 quantity....what do I do now?

I've been taking the generic fioricet for many years by Qualitest and no problem. Then my pharmacy changed to some by Lannett Co. Blue pills with LC1 on them. I got so dizzy and nauseous they seemed to effect me for 6 hours. I haven't taken them since. I have called all the other pharmacies in my area but no one has any by Qualitest. Now I got a new prescription for some by Westward. I hope they can help or I won't be able to take these any more.

If I do not use the Mikart brand 50/325/40 I get absolutely no relief from my migraines. The only “big box pharmacy” is RiteAid and they are phasing it out, so I’m hitting every RiteAid pharmacy to get every Mikart left available before it’s completely gone.

See if it is Mikart brand. It has Mia on one side and 110 on the other. It’s been my saving grace. Now all big box pharmacy stores that may sell it are stopping, so I’m hitting every Rite Aid that has them left. I hope that helps.

Re: Lisa (# 7) Expand Referenced Message

Have your pharmacist change it to 50-325-40. That’s why you get it in the capsules. For the generic Fioricet you're getting 50-300-40. They come in capsule form only. I have found in Delaware you can get Watson at Rite Aid/Cvs/Walgreens and Walmart. I hope that helps.
