I'm taking 4 capsules of ID DICLOXACILLIN 500mg a day, prescribed by my primary care doctor, who I couldn't contact today. All of sudden I started to feel like my energy is totally gone, very tired, from morning to evening. Could it be from the antibiotic? ## Yes, it is possible, the FDA does warn that most antibiotic can cause drowsiness, dizziness, and fatigue as side effects, along with nausea, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. How are you doing, now? Has there been any change? Are you on any other medications?

Will Dicloxacillin clear up an ear infection? ## Will AMOX TR K CLV 875-125 mg treat a inner ear infection? ## Will Clacee 500mg clear up an ear infection? ## I'm suffering from ear infections in both ears. How long will it be before I feel relief? I feel very sick to my stomach as well. ## It really depends on the bacteria that has caused the infection, so you should take whichever antibiotic your doctor has prescribed. If it doesn't help, then you may need to try a different one. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. How are you all doing? Did they work for you?

Started Dicloxacillin yesterday and have had back and leg pain/ache since about half way through the day. Could it be related to Dicloxacillin? ## It is possible, according to the FDA, other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. If the symptoms continue, or worsen, you should consult your doctor. Has there been any change? ## I too have experienced the symptoms you have reported. I have been treated on different occasions with this drug and have had the symptoms you experienced. It is more like nerve pain shooting down both sides of my legs (radiating from my back thru my hips and legs... difficult to stand and walk). It got worse as I approached the end of the drug treatment regimen (10 days). It subsides upon drug completion. FYI.

I have infection in my leg and doctor prescribed the medication for me and told me that I have to take it for at least half year. I am wondering if it will hurt my liver and my stomach because I have never heard that one should take antibiotic for more than 21 days. ## Hello, Lil! How are you? No, sometimes for a severe infection, it is necessary to take an antibiotic for a very long time. Some people that are prone to infections take them daily, for life, as a preventative. The only hepatic issue of concern is if you already have impaired liver function. However, if yours is fine, then there shouldn't be anything to worry about. But feel free to discuss your concerns with your doctor to be sure. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headach...

I have started having pain & am sure it is a UTI. I have these Dicloxacill 250mg & was wondering if this will cure my problem. ## Self-diagnosing is never a good idea, especially with a urinary infection, first of all their are antibiotics targeted to treat it much faster and while it could very well be exactly what you suspect, there is always the chance that it isn't, it could be a vaginal infection, bowel, kidney or one of a number of other things, so your best bet would be to see your doctor and follow their advice after diagnosis. My sister frequently had urinary infections requiring treatment, then the last time, she was absolutely certain from the symptoms that it was another one, but her fiance took her to the emergency room anyway, turns out she had no infection at ...
