Daflon500 Side Effect For Pregnancy

Am 7 months pregnant, my doc prescribed daflon 500 for my varicose veins n leg cramps...is it safe n will be no effect for my baby?

Hello,

Based on my research, Daflon is a dietary supplement/ multivitamin. The main ingredient is Rutaceae, which is derived from the citrus family (ie: lemons, limes, oranges etc..). I've read that no contraindications have been found during the therapeutic use of Daflon (500 mg) in pregnant women.

Side effects;

Multi vitamins don't usually cause adverse reactions unless you have an allergy. However, there is always the possibility of side effects. Some potential side effects are:

Upset stomach,
Headache
Nausea
Diarrhea
Indigestion
Constipation
Dark or tarry stool
An unusual or unpleasant taste in your mouth

Seek immediate medical attention if you experience any of the following side effects (these could be signs of an allergic reaction):

Difficulty breathing or swallowing
A tight chest
Swelling
Hives
Skin rashes
