The capsule in description is Clindamycin (300 mg).
Clindamycin is a lincosamide antibiotic. It is usually used to treat infections with anaerobic bacteria but can also be used to treat some protozoal diseases, such as malaria.

I can say bacterial lung infections are generally labelled pneumonia.
I can also say that other antibiotics are usually prescribed for "lung bacterial infections." (IE. quinolones)
I feel comfortable telling you in this instance, Mom DOESN'T KNOW BEST. If you think you have a serious "internal organ" illness, really! Go see a doctor. Urgent Cares are most times better than an ER.
FWIW: The Clindamycin will unlikely hurt you. Maybe it will clear up some acne, earache, or It-hurts-when-I-pee conditions. (Seriously).
But also seriously, when you think something like *Your Lungs* has an infection, go see a Doc & skip pills Mom passes to you!
