Cytotec Effects

After having to take the cytotec pills and have a bleeding, does it automatically means that I also need to have a raspa?

I am 5-6 weeks pregnant and I took cytotec for abortion. I took two under my tongue and inserted three at about 6p.m. I went to sleep but about 11p.m I started bleeding heavily till the morning with severe pain. But from the morning and through out the day the bleeding stoped totally. What is the problem? Am I still pregnant or what? Please talk to me. AD

Hi ebo. Thats the same problem i have. I just had mine last night. I bled and used up 2 full pads til the morning but after that throughout the day, 1 full padthen towards the evening, i mean now, light spotting nalang halos. My breasts are still a bit sore and im scared if i need to go through raspa d&c pa or take another set of pills. I took 5 cytotecs orally and 5 inserted in the vagina. I hope you're okay. Can anybody help us check if the pregnancy has really terminated?

Hi. I took cytotec yesterday at 5 a.m 2 insertion and two orally. then I took another around 10 a.m with same dosagage. In the afternoon I had blood. Yes it was many but now which is the second day I thought it will be more. But its not as many as I have expected. Does it mean the abortion is not complete? If its not when should I take Raspa??

Cytotec is no longer available in the market even if with prescription. The ones available these days in the black market (Quiapo, Cubao, elsewhere) are already copycats of the original Cytotec. Yes, copycats! They do have a similar effect BUT NOT ENOUGH to abort the baby/products of conception. Meaning, mahinang klase. I have already handled a lot of abortion cases in the government hospital where I serve. Lahat sila sa Quiapo or Cubao kumuha. They end up risking their lives. A lot have died on the table as well. Yung iba naaabort yung baby but the placenta was left inside - yun ung malala and nakakatakot because of hemorrhage. There are also a number kf cases na bata pa lang tinatanggal na namen ung uterus/matres because of complication. Kaya ayun, wala ng reproductive capability yung babae. Think twice. If I were you, the best option is to have the baby and consider na lang na ipa adopt kesa ilaglag.
