Codeine - High Bp
UpdatedHi - I was taking Codeine for a number of years for severe pain, i was told i was suffering with osteoarthritis and eight Cocodamol a day did not touch the pain, whilst i was taking Codeine i was angry and little did i know my BP was very high, it was only when my BP was taken that i found out my BP was touching 200/ to cut a long story short after seeing a Neurologist and having tests it was discovered that my pain was being caused by Hereditary Motor Sensory Peripheral Neuropathy, i was taken of Codeine and put on Lyrica and Tramadol, my pain is now controlled i am no longer angry and my BP has been normal ever-since.
So the story is this if you are taking any medication containing Codeine and are suffering with HIGH BP it may well be Codeine, so mention this to your doc.
