Cocaine False Positive

I have applied for a job and they did a hair folicle test. I tested positive for cocaine, but have never used cocaine. I do take Primatene Tablets for my asthma. It has Collodial silicon dioxide, crospovidon, D&C Yellow no. 10 aluminum lake, FD&C yellow no. 6 aluminum lake, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, providone. It also states on the package Ephedrine HCI 12.5mg / Guaifenesin 200mg.

I am looking for some guidance here, and I know I do not use drugs and I also need to be working....

On the cheaper, less reliable drug tests, it seems as though anything is likely to show up, no matter what you took. I was researching ways in which you may be able to dispute a false positive and I came up on the following information:

"Specific testing, such as that done by a gas chromatograph mass spectrometer, has the ability to distinguish the exact substance in question. This type of testing is not initially performed because of cost, but, is often a follow-up option for those facing serious consequences such as a job loss or jail time."

I think it's down right unfair for companies to not use this type of testing right off the bat, since there are so many false-positives being reported on a daily basis. At this point in time though, the best advice I can offer is that you try to dispute your case by getting re-tested using that method.

Cup test showed up positive for Ketamine, never used any drugs in my life apart from alcohol, only using nasal spay and cocodamol prior to test. How can the result come up with such a drug.

I have never used drugs in my life. I am a truck driver and was going through the hiring process which required a hair follicle drug test. The laboratory said I was positive for cocaine. I went through the retesting process (they did not take a new sample) and they said it still came up positive for cocaine. I took nyquil for 3 weeks 5 months prior while sick on the road. I tried jobs in security or food service and I'm getting flagged and rejected by the background. I need help fast. What is going on? I've never done drugs in my life and I am about to get evicted and I can't even find a dishwashing job. Please help.
