Central Sensitization

Updated

I have new health insurance due to my husband's new health insurance so I am seeing a new pain mgmt. doctor and I am terminal and just want to stay on the narcotic regimen that finally works and apparently they want to use this to try non-narcotic regime so I don't qualify for this alternative therapy. I'm dying for goodness sakes!

Hi Brynn,

Does this new pain management doctor not treat any of his patients under a narcotic regimen? It sounds like they should give people a choice in the matter; especially if certain qualifications need to be met for alternative therapy to begin.

If you need help locating a new PM doctor in your general area, you can always ask them for a referral to someone else who is willing to use that form of treatment.

Additionally, you can input your city or zip code for narrowed results on the webpage below:

I hope this info helps and wish you good luck on finding the right care!

Dear David,
Thanks so much for posting, I was a nervous wreck and posted my results in the wrong place. The PA actually had another person's paperwork in my chart (which is frightening, may be looking at your info. after all). She said something about me having severe fibromyalgia and she was argumentative and finally I could see that it was not my writing on this initial paperwork so the lady before me got the narcotic RX's meant for me and I had to wait for the doctor for a very long time b/c his treatment plan was for the wrong diagnosis. I did get what does seem to be helping but the more I write or speak of this, it's a serious mistake, I sense it's too busy to really give their full time & attention. THANK YOU for taking the time to answer, I may be looking for a new doc again, at least I have one to rely on until I find someone else so I consider myself luckier than most. Take care :).
