Yes you can. You can feel the effects of pretty much anything else that is not an opiate. Just FYI

Yes u can.... I'm still trying to recover from a bad high that was awful last night.

It's for the treatment of opiate addiction or pain relief.

Yes you will feel high but only for a few minutes. I'm on subutex for chronic pain for life but also have my cannabis card. Sadly, using cannabis sublingual or eating edibles, will NOT work. I've eaten up to 300 mgs and nothing. That's insane. 1 gram of butter properly decarbed, should be all I need to be pain free and locked in my couch for 8-24 hours!!!! We thought and hoped it was the nalaloxone blocking it, so I switched from suboxone strips to generic bupe only tablets. NOPE. Didn't do anything except stop my sweating the nalaloxone was cauaing.

I am on Suboxone and my doctor told me to try marijuana. I told him my concerns about smoking due to my son, and he suggested edibles. See, I asked my doctor, please ask yours. Good luck!

You can absolutely get stoned, even Hemp oil helps, but helps with pain and anxiety not so munch the Stoned, but the medical benefits.

My husband and I tried the CBD, by vaping it. I thought it tasted awful so I cut it with a candy juice. Personally it didn't help me, but I never vaped the amount they suggested. My husband on the other hand did feel less anxiety, but at night will still smoke a bowl to help him sleep.

I think you should take the time and read into medical marijuana. It's safer n heck wont do anymore damage than a smoker. We are finally showing how studies have proven it to help certain conditions. And cannabis is safer than any pill...good luck all.

When you ask whether cbd will react to Norbuprimine why not stop back in and let us know what you found? Thanks!

Why would you want to have marijuana while on Suboxone? The purpose of taking the Suboxone is to get clean and straighten out your life. You're defeating the whole purpose of taking the Suboxone. With this type of mind set, you will never get clean.

See the post following yours before you use such a dismissive overtone in your comment. You do in fact only feel euphoric for minutes! Period! You didn't say if you have experience with both items or not...I'm guessing not or you'd know the correct answers... Terpines are one compound that are still effective UNFORTUNATELY... They only produce the personality of the cannabis and contain no THC... But some of us also just enjoy the non-high parts of this plant.

It more relaxes you, like smoking a joint. Your muscles are relaxed.

Yes it will. My cousin takes fentanyl and his doctor prescribed suboxone to him. He also consumed cannabis with it and the result was very good.

Did you figure that out? I’m on Subs and got some CBD and was wondering if it’s safe?

Re: aa (# 16) Expand Referenced Message

I am in pain management and am prescribed suboxone and also marijuana. I have a card, both for pain and chronic conditions. I always consumed cannabis and had no problems, but since being on the suboxone I no longer get the feeling I enjoyed after being in pain that was something to look forward to, although I have less breakthrough pain using the combo of both. Everyone's chemistry and makeup is different for sure.

I stumbled across this old thread about mixing marijuana and suboxone. I'm not sure if you're still curious about it, but generally speaking, it's not recommended to mix substances like that. It's always best to consult with a doctor or medical professional if you have any questions or concerns.

Because many people have pain. That’s why! They want off chemicals and r looking at all possibilities to go natural while looking for specific strains for pain (cannabis)

Re: Hopeful (# 13) Expand Referenced Message

Because not everybody take Suboxone to get off of drugs some people are actually prescribe Suboxone for pain instead of other narcotics in the question that was asked is there a negative effect if you are on Suboxone if you were to use CBD which again CBD does not cause the high THC does CBD is used for pain and anxiety

Re: mks427 (# 3) Expand Referenced Message

What's so ignorant? Why do people care? (Yes, I do care to stand up for people and dispel info that can hurt people, which is arguably different. I wouldn't ban you or something.) It's more ignorant to go into it unknown, and it's just easy to post a question and see if people's experience agree with articles and/or other doctors, doctors are human after all. The internet is huge, it has room for simple to complex questions and repeats, who cares, maybe new info is out there. Ever think of that? It concerns me (not greatly, but it's sad) how much people CARE about what other people do. Besides, ignorant vs. rude...well I wouldn't care how much you knew you'd be an unfortunate acquaintance. I wouldn't like knowing when you'd call me stupid or not, eggshells, no thanks. I bet a lot of people feel that way, but I hardly gather that would change your mind, I just hope this helps other people. But, there's even room on the internet for people like you.

To hit the topic again, for example, it's not entirely true a hydrocodone/Oxy will do nothing if you're on Suboxone. I was in extreme make-you-throw-up-pain, I have experience in this stuff as well as research and doctor's views. It's just the lowest does opioid will probably do nothing, and the strength of Sub in your system obvs matters. You can still get some benefit, some muscle relax effect, enough pain relief to not throw up (unless those drugs DO make you sick). Also my doctor lied about gabapentin and made me get off too quickly and I am so sick and in pain, and the point of seeing him was PAIN RELIEF not to pay a s*** ton of money to barely get by on Sub pain relief. There was no reason to take me off what my other doctor put me on, let alone make me drop it unsafely. He made me feel I would lose subs and it wouldn't be his fault. I was scared, my pain is disabling to the point I can barely eat and I have blood sugar issues, so you can imagine I didn't challenge it. Subs give more pain relief than gaba for me, so I had no choice, and Toradol is not long term and it doesn't help my fibromyalgia. So if you read one article, listen to one doctor, you may think that's decent enough and it's not. Basically all my doctors, including ER experience, don't understand where this suboxone doctor is coming from and are legit baffled. He won't even let me have Toradol. Not to be confused with Tramadol. Toradol: (ketorolac tromethamine), a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). So basically a way more effective treatment than Ibuprofen or Asprin etc. Safer than steroids, but maybe as effective for some people, a great alt. to opioids for an addictive personality. Get an IV to break up pain for a few days, that can really bring a bad cycle down for migraines if you get stuck in a pain rut sometimes. Just extra info if anyone is using subs or marijuana for pain, there's options and you need to know everyone feels different about the subjects and reacts diff to drugs. I hope this was helpful to someone. I also hope it gave you a different perspective and maybe you can relax and open your mind a little bit and be less reactionary and worrisome and realize it may not be as bad as you think. I took a long route to say it's hard to trust anything, and people's actual RECENT experience may help a lot. You have to try and learn the science and common sense aspect of these things, because you can be so easily manipulated. I'd rather ask a "dumb" question than go into something unprepared and waste money or hurt myself. I'm not out to offend you. Good luck.

**Extra info on NSAIDs** - "NSAIDs are used to decrease inflammation, swelling, fever, and pain." Typically an anti-inflammatory drug isn't for long term use, I've only seen 2 uses. Low dose ibuprofen is showing to help with arthritis -- as in slow it down, and baby aspirin for the heart. If your pain is ruining your life, you can take Meloxicam daily as it's much more safe but is a bit less effective in my opinion, but that's another topic anyone can ask me about if they want.

My son is a combat veteran suffering from PTSD as well as severe pain. He has the marijuana card for Maryland but was buying Percocet for the pain because no doctors will give it to him. He desperately wants off the narcotics but simply can't do it on his own but I can't find anyone that will give him Suboxone unless he's willing to give up the marijuana as well. Anyone know a doctor that might help?
