I have been prescribed Calvepen 333mg for diarrhoea possible bowel infection, will this kill the infection.

The issue you may actually run into is that this can cause diarrhea as a side effect.

Did they do any testing or cultures to see if it's actually due to an infection?

The doctor sent a culture off for testing but I have not had the results yet, I am a lot better today. My husband and I were in Turkey last week and he had to be admitted to hospital with an infection so maybe I picked that up from him, several people were hospitalized.
