Po says no to busbar in place of Xanax and also no anti- depresants of any kind while on probation drug screens. He called them tsa's. What are tsa's, I have mental illness and have never been told "we want you to feel all your feelings." I don't understand how they can stop you from non-narcotic medications. Why is this? ## I'm not sure what state you live in, but the PO is very wrong for telling you that and you need to let your PO until you have something in writing you can't just discontinue your non narcotics and I'm pretty sure that once you request it in writing an he or she realizes thst you or your family will hold him fully accountable because he or she is forcing you to go directly against doctors orders, as well as pharmacies instructions on t...

I HAVE WHITE PILL WITH 2 SPLIT LINES NO NUMBERS WHAT IS IT? ## If there are no markings, then it may be difficult to identify. We can rule it out as being a U.S. prescription medication, because they are all required to have unique imprints to enable their identification. However, it could be any one of a large number of over the counter products. Learn more OTC drug details here. There is also a small chance that it could be a foreign medication. Where was it found? The general area may help to narrow it down, since some products are regional. ## More than likely sounds as if you hAve buspar. They are smaller and have less. Scores.

Will Buspar show up as an opiod in a drugs test? ## No, it is not an opiate, nor related to them. ## I really hate when people post stuff when they obvious don't know what they are talking about. Benzodiazepines and opiates are 2 totally different classes of drugs. If you don't know what your talking about quit posting stupid information! !! ## I really hate ignorant people like you, the guy was asking a question because he didn't know. What's the point in a website to ask questions if your going to be an a**hole because someone doesn't know everything. ## The guy who responded was a snarky aaa wipe. Can buspar and Diphebdydramine be taken together with out any bad side effects or causing death also what should the dosage be for both medications ## Hello, Sol! How are you? I didn't find any problems or interactions listed between the two, but it is always best to double check such information to be safe. You should not exceed or change your doctor's dosing instructions, unless they tell you to change something. Is there anything else I can help with?

I was taking xanax for my anxiety disorder. My doc switched me to buspar. I don't like it and I do not ! It is helping. I know xanax works for me and I did take it responsibly. My doc doesn't like to prescribe benzos to anyone. How can I convince him that I'm more comfortable with the xanax? I'm afraid to ask for the xanax specifically because I don't want to be treated or accused of abusing them. ## Hello, Jme! How are you? How long have you been taking the Buspar? It doesn't work like Xanax, which you can take as needed, you'll need to take the Buspar for about 4 to 5 weeks, before it'll reach its full level of efficacy in your body, in order to see if it will help you, or not. What effects don't you like about it? Many doctors prefer it to benzodia...

Is it possible 4 patient who's has been taking 60mg (every morning) of Buspirone regularly for 6+months then, after doctor recommends adding 30mg at night (for limited time to get through sudden situational increase of anxiety) to begin feeling LESS anxiousness within an HOUR of new dose? Or is it just a placebo effect? ## Hello, Christy! How are you? Yes, it is possible. It may not work that way for everyone, but it does for some people. There are even women who suffer from PMS that take a medication such as Prozac just for 2 weeks of the month, because it has enough immediate effect to help them over their worst hormonal days. It really just depends on the person and how their body responds to any given medication. This medication may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness,...

Hi, my dr prescribed this for me for anxiety. At first I was hesitant because I read about the bad side effects you can get (brain zap, uncontrollable movements, etc) but I have finally decided to try it. He said start off 5mg 2x a day. My anxiety mostly presents itself with racing heart, palpitations, tightness in chest. Does buspar help calm these things down? I am also on Xanax, which helps a great deal, but I am hoping this i can take in the day time to help ease my symptoms. I just am scared of the side effects. Any experience would help. Thanks! ## Yes, it can help with those symptoms, but the only way to see if it will work for you is by trying it. For some people, it is better than Xanax, or other benzodiazepines, because you take it all the time to help keep symptoms under cont...

Hi out there! I suffer from a panic disorder and am prescribed Zoloft and Buspar. I recently lost my insurance and have not been able to afford my Zoloft, so needless to say, that I have been going through a type of withdrawal. Which, in turn, brings on wild panic attacks. I've my Buspar becasue it's cheaper. My question is, has anyone ever taken the maximum dosage (60 mg) at once to help with the panic attack. I have to take 20mg three times a day. But, I am really struggling and I wonder if taking 40 or 60 mg at once will calm me down. Thanks for the input and the support ## Hello, Mase! How are you? No, taking that much at once is generally not recommended. Are you getting the generic Zoloft? If so, then it really shouldn't be that expensive. However, if it, then you may ...

I started taking Buspar 3 years ago for panic attacks. For me it works to prevent the panic attacks in the first place mostly. Great for me. I was getting pretty bad ones 3 to 5 times a week and it went down to about 1 every month or so. With xanax it helps to slow down the panic attacks but once it has started it is kind of too late. I now take latuda for bipolar sever depression and schizophrenia and after 3 months i rarely think about suicide any more and am awake and active much more. Also i have not had a panic attack since starting the Latuda. ## Awesome, Nickoly! I am so happy that you've found medications that work so well for you. Have you experienced any of the typical Latuda side effects that the FDA lists, such as drowsiness, dizziness, nausea, stomach pain or diarrhea? ...

I am already taking 10 mg buspirone 2 times per day and my doc has suggested adding 0.25 mg paxil, to further help with anxiety. Is this safe? Also, please tell me the credentials of the person responding. thanks very much. ## They both can increase your serotonin levels, which can be risky, but they can be taken together, with physician approval and regular monitoring. It's also more prone to occurring with high dosages, these are both very low. BuSpar is classified by the FDA as an anxiolytic. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Paxil is classified as an SSRI antidepressant. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?

Is buspar like norotin? Someone told me it is the same. ## Hello, Victoria! How are you? No, they are not the same, they aren't even related medications. BuSpar contains the active ingredient Buspirone, which is classified by the FDA as an anxiolytic. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, nervousness and insomnia. However, Neurontin is classified as an anticonvulsant that can help with some types of nerve pain and some mood disorders. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight gain. Is there anything else I can help with?

Does buspars make anyone else angry? ## Hello, Billy! How are you? How long have you been taking it? Sometimes, these anxiolytics can cause symptoms like that for the first few weeks that you are taking them, while your body is adjusting. After 3 to 4 weeks, your body usually adjusts and it starts having its intended effect. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may include nausea, dizziness, headache and feeling nervous/excited. However, if you've been taking it for over a month and are still experiencing this, then it may not be the right medication for you and you should speak to your doctor about trying something else.

hi a few weeks ago I skipped 4 doses of buspar which I thought was interfering with another med but it wasn't I had a melt down so I am back one them what I'd like to know if these thoughts will subside? thank you for your help ## Hello, Fool! How are you? According to the information provided by the NIH, you likely experienced both withdrawal and rebound effects from stopping it abruptly, which could explain why they have been so severe. In theory, they should subside, but it could take a few weeks for things to balance back out. However, don't be afraid to talk to your doctor about it, you may need something else to help, in the meantime, or you might require a dosage adjustment. Have things improved, at all? Side effects to Buspar may include nausea, dizziness, weight cha...

What is the main chemical ingredient in buspar? ## The active ingredient in BuSpar is called Buspirone. It is used primarily as an anxiolytic, but also to a lesser extent as an antidepressant. You can read more details about this medication at: Do you have any other questions or information to add? Please post back if you do... ## Does this medication have the same active ingredient as Benadryl? I'm wondering because my anxiety gets worse when taking Benadryl.

Just started taking buspar for anxiety. Have not been eating as much, could loss of appetite come from the buspar. ## Hello, Lori! How are you doing? Yes, it has been known to cause that type of side effect in some people that take it, there have been a few cases where it has gone into full blown anorexia. How long have you been taking it? It should ease up after about 4 to 6 weeks, as your body adjusts to the medication, but I'd suggest checking this out with your doctor to be sure.

Was told it was buspar but can't find it in the pill identifier. ## The reason this isn't listed in the pill identifiers is due to the fact that it's an over the counter product. This tablet contains 500mgs of Acetaminophen, it's just a generic or store brand of Extra Strength Tylenol that's used to treat pain, fever and headaches. This medication can be toxic if too much is ingested in any 24 hour period, so please do not exceed a total of 4,000mgs daily. Are there any other questions or concerns? ## I appreciate the response! Thanks so much.
