Brownish Oily Squares - Need To Identify

My son made this little square shapes of browish oily squares that are still soft and wrapped each square in aluminum foil what is it?

Based on the image which you attached it appears to be Hash.

Hashish "is a preparation of cannabis composed of the compressed stalked resin glands called trichomes, collected from the cannabis plant. It contains the same active ingredients but in higher concentrations than other parts of the plant such as the buds or the leaves. Hashish is often a paste-like substance with varying hardness and pliability. Its color can vary from green, yellow, black, reddish brown, or most commonly light to dark brown."

So it is from the cannabis plant (a.k.a. Marijuana). Fortunately it is not a “hard” drug such as meth or any other synthesized chemical, but may be illegal where you live.

I received an e-mail regarding the brown square drug that was oily soft moist and others I have asked said it was Back tar heroin? May I need to post that picture somewhere else again but is it a possibility it is black Tar Heroin? What are the effect of both? Thank You

Thanks for writing back - Yes I am sorry to say that it very well may be Black Tar Heroin. Of course I'm no expert, but looking at pictures of both Hashish and Black Tar Heroin, it does appear that it can be either of the two.

Images of both can be found online. What is the consistency of the squares? Is it a hard gum-like substance, does it become more gummy when exposed to air?

Sorry to hear that you found this. Not sure what your best approach would be, but the only way to know 100% for sure is to have the substance tested. All I know is that hash is typically distributed in foil squares and that's why it was my original guess...

Thank you Roy for your help. Found out it was Brown sugar butter and pot left out for two weeks thats why it smell so bad . It still bad but the heroin scared me cause it's rampid out here Thanks again
