Benzo Taper Alcohol

My dr put me on a librium taper on Wednesday of last week. I felt great for two days. Unfortunately I blew it with Super Bowl weekend etc and drank a lot Friday to sunday. Any way yesterday and today I went back to my taper but it doesn't seem to be as effective. Did I completely ruin my taper by drinking and taking librium? What should I do? Tx.

What did you do while you were drinking?

Did you go back to your original dose? I am not understanding what would have disrupted your taper.

Drinking when you're taking any medication isn't advisable, however, I am sure you're already aware of that.

I was worried alcohol increased my tolerance to librium. Stayed on same taper but felt worse. My dr said they both act as cns deppressants but actually work on different gaba sub units. So I guess I didn't screw up my taper just going through alcohol withdrawal at same time ?
