Bartholin Abscess -bio Metronidazole 400

I am a 21 year old female and I had a bartholin abscess.. I was prescribed a Fixime 400, Bio-metronidazole 400, Ibuprofen 400 and a Doxytet.. My problem is that I seem to be having a
side effect of an itching vaginal opening.. I would like to know if this would go away after I'm done with the whole pill course or should I get medical attention right away?

I had the same thing happen to me. Only on my penis, as well as a uncomforatable feeling in my urethra. I noticed it accouple days after taking the medications. Its been about 5 months now and I still have the feeling but it comes and goes in waves.

Lebo, the antibiotics can cause a yeast infection in women, so there's a very good chance that is what is causing the itching.

There are remedies available over the counter, but if you've never had one before, then you should consult your doctor to make sure that's what it is and to see if it is safe for you to use such treatments.

Nick, men can also get yeast infections, it's just not as common as it happens to women, but you could also just have a lingering UTI. Thus, you should have it checked out, as well.
