I was prescribed Baclofen to help with my alcoholism, ramping up to 5 per day. It made me drowsy - I literally fell asleep with a fork in my mouth. I could not walk a straight line, swerving when I tried. And my favorite - I peed the bed three times. I already can do these things when I'm drunk. ## Hello, Boz! How are you doing? It may be that you're on too high of a dose for your body. Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, and dry mouth can all be normal side effects of this medication, as reported by the FDA, and the higher the dosage, the more severe they would be. Have you informed your prescriber? A lower dosage might work better for you and not cause such awful side effects.

Okay so i was presibed gabapentin and stopped taking them for about 2 weeks. Then they put me on a dosage of 20mg 3x a day of baclofen. So I then took a urine screen that came up positive for the gabapentin and not the baclofen? They are checking the levels in two days but even so i know what really happened is there any possible way those two could get mixed up in a drug screen? And is it possible that when they check even the levels of the gabapentin in 2 days it'll say obsurd levels or low levels because i took it 2 weeks ago? Please help with the quickness if you could.

I have to take a hair drug test for employment. Will phenibut use show in a hair test? (Obviously it is not a standard drug to be tested for.) But could it possibly flag as baclofen? Bear in mind I only used the phenibut approximately ten days in one month. Will be reluctantly abstaining for the time being too. (Along with all other substances.) "...that which does not kill me, only makes me stronger..." -2 pac ## A Hair Drug Test is meant to show consistent use over time. A 1.5 inch sample, cut at the scalp line, will go back 90 days. Most labs do not test for Phenibut or baclofen so I wouldn't worry. ## Ok thank you for your response. World we live in unfortunately . Party is over for me.

I have been taking Baclofen for spasms since spinal cord injury 14 months ago. I'm currently taking 110 mg of bacolfin and 2-4 10 mg of flexeril a day to try to control spasms so I can leave my house. What would you recommend taking to get relief from the spasms. Also taking 30 mg bid of lyrica, 15 mg bid morphine sulfate, and 4 aleve to try helping with the pain. ## Hello, Alicia! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're in pain. Could this cream cause a scaly red rash that itches if using too much? ## Hi Madonna, Concerning side effects, The US National Library of Medicine (also known as NIH.gov) lists skin rashes/itchy/red/blistering/peeling/ or otherwise as potential symptoms and/or allergic reactions relating to all of the medications listed above, except for Baclofen. So just to clarify, this includes Ketoprofen (Keto) + Cyclobenzprine (Cyclo) + Lidocaine (Lido). And this isn't necessary in regards to using too much, but just happen to be side effects in general. NIH goes on to state that you should contact your doctor immediately if you do experience these symptoms. I hope this helps answer your question!

Iam now on gabpentin for trigeminal neuralgia and a neurologist wants me to tru beclofen. i want drug information about the use of baclofen for this condition ## Hi Elizabeth, Based on my research, there are studies indicating that Baclofen is reported to be useful for the treatment of trigeminal neuralgia. References: 1). ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/6372646 2). ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/6201366 However, as with starting any drug, there's really no telling whether or not you'll experience some possible side effects as well. So that may also be something to keep in mind if you haven't had any complications arise with Gabapentin in order to better compare the two options. I hope this helps!

I have severe back and hip pain, my right hip has dropped down almost a half inch causing my back bone to off center. I have tried multiple forms of treatment with no success. I have taken a variety of muscle relaxers, and none of them have worked. I am currently taking 20 mg of baclofen 3 times a day. It's this something I can increase in dosage, or is there a stronger muscle relaxer? I really NEED to relieve the tension in my hip. ## Hello, Megan! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're in pain. You shouldn't take more of the Baclofen than your doctor has prescribed. Taking to much could cause dangerous depression of the central nervous system, which could be fatal, since it can lower heart rate and breath rate. Which other ones have you tried? Soma, which contains the...
