Are There Any Doctors Who Prescribe Methadone Maintanance In Northern Ca?

I am addicted to H and Oxys and have been purchasing Methadone pills on the black market. Are there any Docs in Northern California who prescribe methadone ??

Regular doctors aren't allowed to prescribe it for addiction/maintenance. Under the current laws, it can only be given for that in a clinical setting by those that have been specially trained in its use for such. Thus, you're only solution is to go to a Methadone clinic.

Since it is a very potent opiate, it also has the potential to be habit forming, so it must be used very carefully, it can also cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Can you post back with your nearest major city? If so, someone may know of a clinic near you.

My nearest major city is probably Ukiah, or Santa Rosa but those are hour to hour and a half drives, methadone clinics make you go each day dont they ? What about Lakeport, CA ?

What about detox off the H and oxy's and be clean? I'm a methadone clinic physician and find it amazing that so many people come in for addiction management with methadone but have never considered or tried sobriety. 12 step programs have worked wonders for many addicts ( including mine) willing to change their lives. Our society is much too dependent on the "I need a pill" kind of thinking and often fails to help people realize that they are capable of getting clean.
