Kaiser Permanente Pharmacies

Just wondering if i take my script to a kaiser pharmacy will they know that I had a script filled at a walgreens 8 days prior for the exact same meds (different doctor)?

The pharmacies actually being connected doesn't matter, prescriptions are all logged into computer systems and tracked by the federal government.

Thus, if you are hoping to get duplicate prescriptions, or similar ones, for controlled substances, then it will be detected and flagged in their system.

If the pharmacy doesn't catch it, the government scans will and you'll face some pretty stiff fines and penalties.

That's actually not accurate.

The theory that the federal government is tracking scripts is there, but the resources and funding is actually no there.

So while the pharmacies and doctors are required to report the information, that info is basically just sitting in the system, not being accessed.

Does Kaiser Permanente Pharmacy accept non-members? I used to be a Kaiser member before but no more. Someone said Kaiser accepts many other insurance companies, but whenever I tried to reach Kaiser pharmacy they asked for a Kaiser member ID so I can't speak to the reps.

I searched all pharmacies to find my medicine (lorazepam- Qualitest) in Los Angeles. I called 30 pharmacies as I have to transfer my prescription because my current pharmacy switched to Actavis which cause me side effects with no effectiveness.

I was Kaiser member about a year ago and Kaiser gave me Qualitest lorazepam for Ativan. On their website it states patients should bring Kaiser member ID and photo ID. I can't even reach them by calling without a member ID input.
Some people say it is for members only while others state it is not.
