Anyone Taken Teva Adderall

Hello,
I was recently diagnosed with ADHD my doc prescribe me Ritalin the pharmacy gave me the genetic brand Methylphenidate 20mg ER (LA) caps Mfc Actavis. The first day it was ok, made me feel a little more energy, more focus, but also kinda jittery, the fallowing days I didn't even feel anything other than some anxiety and loss of appetite, I was supposed to take them for a month but after taking them for 15 days I decided they were not doing anything for me, except making me want to take Xanax (which I am also prescribed for anxiety) I normally don't take it unless I really need it and just tiny dosages. Anyways went back to my doc. Told him Ritalin wasn't working for me and I wanted to try Adderall; my doc prescribe me Adderall XR 25 mg capsules. I fill my scrip at Walgreens they gave me the Genetic brand (is the one my insurance covers) the pharmacy gave me D-Amphetamine salt combo XR 25 mg caps manufacture by TEVA. Today is my second day taking it, first day I kinda felt it....feel a bit more alert and focus, but definitely not what I was expecting, second day,.....I didn't really notice any effects it was like I hadn't taken anything....It made me feel, kinda jittery and anxious. Has anyone taking this specific dosage and brand before? How did it work for you? Does it take a while like a week to kick in? What's the best genetic Adderall? Any feed back would be greatly appreciated. I been obsessed searching about this since I got them, I have read so many negatives reviews about the genetic brands but I can't afford the brand name ones :(

Hello, Dulce! How are you? Has there been any change?

While it usually does have some effect within a few minutes of taking it, it may take a few weeks for it to reach its full level of efficacy in your body.

Additionally, the XR means that it is time released, so the medication is released slowly throughout the day, not all at once, thus its effects will not be as severe as if you were taking a regular or immediate release formulation.

The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia and anorexia.

Hi, thanks for your reaply,
yes I am aware of the xr, but I just don't feel anything at all, it feels like am taking a sugar phil giving me no effects, I am wondering if is because is the genetic brand. That's why I would like to know if there's another genetic brand that would be better, or maybe I'll just try to my doc to up my dosage...maybe then it will have some effect on me.

Are you taking this for ADHD ? Is this your first time being prescribed this medication ? How do you think it is suppose to make you feel ?

Yes, I am taking it for ADHD, yes a I stated on my original post, the doc first started me on Ritalin but it had no effect on me, this adderall is still not doing anything. I was expecting to feel more energy, better focus, but I don't feel anything.....I been skipping some days and I always feel the Same...it makes no difference if I take or not :(

Adderall XR 25 mg is a low dose. Talk to your doctor about increasing the dosage.

Generics are pretty much the same. Generic don't have to have the same amount of active ingredients that brand names do. For example, if a generic says it has
10 mg, by law it can have 8 mg-12 mg of active ingredients. With Schedule II meds, like Adderall, they seem to be on the low side as opposed to the high side.
