Amoxicillin 500

I have a tooth ache (wisdom tooth) possible infection on mandibular left quadrant. I got amoxicillin 500 GG849. Just wondering if it's safe to take. The capsule is a orangey tanish color. Pls help

Dear Jane, did u just get the prescription, or was it an old one? If it was an old one, u need 2 check the expiration date on it. Also, if it's an old one, u should call a dentist, b cause, u need 2 b on antibiotics 4 a certain amount of time 4 them 2 work. U will need a new prescription, if it's an older one. If it's just been prescribed, your Dr and pharmacist know if u r on any other scripts and what is safe 4 u.

Additionally, I'd like to add that while an antibiotic can treat the infection that is present, it will not do anything to resolve the underlying issue that caused the infection, such as a deep dental cary. Thus, you still need to see a dentist, or the infection will keep returning.

This antibiotic may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
