how long does it take for ambien 10mg to start working
2 Replies RSS
Just wanted a answer to how long ambien starts to work, for the insomnia. And how long does, it help for ## Ambien starts to work within minutes of taking it, which is why the monograph instructs you to take it right when you are laying down to sleep and not any earlier. Learn more Ambien details here. As to how long it helps for, the regular release really isn't intended to help you stay asleep, it's meant for those that have trouble falling asleep. If you have trouble staying asleep, there is a controlled release formulation that you can ask your doctor about. Side effects may include nausea, drowsiness, hallucinations and next day hangover like effects. Is there anything else I can help with? ## My pain doctor just told me he wanted me off of Klonopin or he would reduce my pa...

Is a prescription required for this medicine? ## Hello, Lisa! How are you? I'm sorry, but you forgot to mention which medication you were asking about. Can you please post back and clarify? Most sedative hypnotics, such as Ambien and Lunesta do require a prescription, due to the risk of problematic side effects, which the FDA lists as possibly including nausea, dizziness, hallucinations and sleep actions. They also sometimes risk being habit forming.

would 400mg of clonazapem and70mg ambien with alcohol be fatal
3 Replies RSS
Is this a fatal combination? If i started drinking heavily and the injested this amount, would it be deadly? ## Hi Savanagh, yes, this combination of drugs and alcohol can be deadly. Are you depressed and having problems? Nothing and no one is worth taking your life. Please, talk with your doctor about what's going on in your life and how you feel. A medical professional can help you with your problems. ## Ingesting that much clonazepam and Ambien is just suicide. Drinking alcohol with a benzodiazepine will result in death. You will most likely go into respiratory arrest then cardiac arrest. ## It would be fatal even without alcohol.

zolfed 10 ambien

I've been researching for 2 hours. The alleged manufacturer in India doesn't even make this product. And what they're putting in the pills will make you sick. ## @Jd, If you received these from an unlicensed pharmacy then in my opinion it's more than likely a scam product. I notice that some of the internet pharmacies based over in India make up random brand names for otherwise popular medications to maybe throw people off. Zolfed for example sounds like a knock-off name of Zoloft or Zolpidem. Unfortunately with false marketing at hand, there's no way to know for sure what these tablets contain unless you were to have the tablet analyzed by a lab. What was the name of the company you went through? And did you file a complaint with your credit/debit card institution? ...

can you ask a pharmacy for non-generic ambien
2 Replies RSS
My pharmacy gives me a different generic ambien almost every month. Can I ask for non-generic since I am paying without insurance? All of them work slightly different. Some hardly work at all. ## Hello, Jerry! How are you? Yes, you can do that. You can also ask your doctor to write the prescription as 'brand medically necessary' or whatever the equivalent is in your state. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, funny taste in mouth, sleep actions, hallucinations and next day hangover-like effects. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I wouldn't mind a generic ambein if i knew one that worked consistently. I read different opinions on all the generics. So would name brand be inconsistent also? I can n...

What Does Ambien Show Up As On A Drug Test
41 Replies RSS
May 20-26 I was in the hospital taking Ambien, ativan and cymbalta. Once I left the hospital I took my ambien sparingly. The ativan even less and no cymbalta at all. However on June 16 I took 1/2 10MG of Ambien. I had a saliva drug test that next morning and it came back as THC, Amphedimines and opiates. How did this happen?? ## Ambien contains the active ingredient Zolpidem and neither it nor the Cymbalta, which contains Duloxetine, are substances tested for on those types of tests and they are also not known to cause false positives for anything else. The Ativan contains Lorazepam, which is a Benzodiazepine and it is also not known to cause false positives. Where you taking anything else? Even over the counter products or something else they gave you in the hospital? ## The only other...

sleep aid 7.5 mg ## I can't find anything in english about this drug. any suggestions? ## I can't either. You may want to try asking a pharmacist if they have any information on it. ## Does anyone know where to get this sleep aid. It is the ONLY thing that works for me. I have been buying it in Mexico under the brand name Imovane 7.5mg. ## I also got Zopiclona Genfar in Costa Rica when I realized I forgot my sleep aids. They wouldn't give me Ambien, but gave me this. As soon as I took it I knew it was Lunesta because I had once tried that and got a bad taste in my mouth (although it defintiely works). After much research when I got home (everything was in Spanish), I finally found that is in fact Lunesta (funny that they gave me this without a Rx but not Ambien which is much...

Freesleeptabs.com claims to provide free ambien samples. Has anyone tried that site before? ## I'd stay away from that site. They don't provide any real contact information and their order form is not secure. ## i've been taking ambien for 14 yrs. they work great but are very expensive. ## Have bad insomnia and like to try it at frist. ## yes i received a prescription of two 10mg ambien they had no markings but they worked good i believe its a canadian pill the prescription. ## how is your ambien expensive? what kind of medical care do you have? if that question is too personal, you are absolutely under no obligation to answer, I was just curious because I pay 10 bucks a month for my script, however I do have insurance and I get the offbrand. ## had to take a blood test for ...

BF asks questions while asleep
1 Reply RSS
My BF of 11 years asks me questions about my EX while asleep on Trazodone, Ambien and Valium and says "it is the truth coming out", he has done this several times and every time he does it he doesn't like the answers. Are these combined with a truth serum or am I just in a fog and not really understanding the questions and just giving random answers? Oh Yah, I don't remember any thing the next morning and am given the worst treatment ever (and I am disabled, so I need his help, especially with our 8 yr. old). Anyone gone through this or have an answer? ## No, no truth serum or anything in them. However, if this occurs frequently, it could mean that you're overmedicated for sleeping, that's a lot to take each night. The FDA also warns that the Valium carries the r...

I've been taking ambien generics; the white and the peach oval. They have no effects on me. Until about two months ago cvs was carrying Teva MZ2. It was the only one that worked for me like a charm. My doctor gave ambien c.r they don't work at all the Teva purple one southeast the ambien c.r..I asked why cvs stopped carrying those they said it s the pharmaceutical stop sending to cvs. I was frustrated because I'm tired of changing medicine. I'm like here we go back to the medication that doesn't work for me and it's ripping the health insurance off. I wish they would survey which ambien works for each individual who takes them and why. If there is no imprint, then it is going to be somewhat difficult to determine exactly what you received. ...

orange round pill ## do these work and are they intended to help insomnia ## does any gernic international ambien come in a peanu shaped pill that is beige in color no markings or a funny shaped blue pill no markings or a tiny round light pink with 20 imprint? ## Norma, in the U.S. all legal prescription drugs have to have an imprint of some sort on them. This is under Federal Law, they must have markings that allow them to be identified according to drug, manufacturer and dosage. Therefore, in the U.S. if it has no marking, it is NOT a prescription medication!! In rare instances, you will run into foreign drugs with no markings and no way to positively identify them, but in most cases if they have no marking, they are something over the counter. There is a Canadian tablet that is descr...

anything new for persistent insomnia? I've tried sleep apnea clinics, various over the counter drugs..I have RLS so that complicates things. I can sleep with Ambien but would prefer something not addicting. ## Hello, Cynthia! How are you? Have you ever tried Trazodone? It's a type of antidepressant and many doctors have been prescribing it to help people with sleep issues, since drowsiness is one of its predominant side effects. The FDA lists the others as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. It's an idea to ask your doctor about, since only they can help you decide what is safe for you to try. Does anyone else have any suggestions?

Received White Oblong Tablet With Safe Written One Side The Label States It Is Ambien 10mg Never Saw Before
18 Replies RSS
I received what I thought was ambien 10mg. A white oblong tablet with the word SAFE embrossed on one side nothing on the other. I have never seen it this way before. ## There have been several reports of people receiving these pills as Ambien from foreign sources, mainly the Philippines, however, we've been unable to confirm this. It can be difficult, with foreign medications, since they are not as strictly regulated and are not required to log their imprints, like companies that are approved to sell their medications in the U.S. and Canada. Is anyone familiar with this tablet? ## I too have received this "SAFE" imprinted white oblong tablet three times. Twice with the name of Ativan written below the barcode on the labeled bottle and once with Stilnox in that same place. It...

Why is it that I take a 10mg ambient, fall right asleep for about 2 hours then get up on and off throughout the night? ## Hello, Fran! How are you? For some people, the regular release formulation of this medication only helps them to fall asleep, but not stay asleep. However, there is a time released formulation called Ambien CR that is intended to help with that issue, so you may want ask your doctor about trying it. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, hallucinations, sleep actions and next day hangover-like effects. I want to make sure that the pills I have for insomnia actually are Ambien and not a placebo. I cannot sleep at all and I am very, very tired. The pills are a white oval with an italicized A on one side and the numbers 6469 on the other. Thanks! ## The tablets with this marking contain 10mgs of Zolpidem, they are a generic for Ambien.
