Althea Pills For Pimples

Hi. Can I take althea pills without needing a prescription from a dermatologist? Because I was told by a doctor that for the case of me having pimples, I can take althea when I reached 18... So if in case I still have pimples and I reached 18, can I still take these pills even without the prescription of a dermatologist/doctor? Is it good for one's health??? Taking pills???

You should consult a doctor first before taking the Althea You have to make sure that you do not have history of cancer in the family. Your doctor might require a transrectal ultrasound before taking the said pill and taking it may be good or have a side effects .

And last thing you should consult to the obgyne before taking pill not to your dermatologist..

Yes they are over the counter meaning they don't require a signed prescription. The main purpose of these pills is for contraception and regulation of menstrual cycle ..however if you dont have problems with your hormones i suggest u not to take the pills.. I've been taking pills too for 1yr because i have problems with my ovaries. After i stopped taking the pills my skin broke out like crazy and the pimples would never stop popping.

It's better if u find the right skin care products for you. Hope this helps.
