Albany Methadone Pill Doctors

Hi...I am looking for a clinic or doctor who can give methodone pills to get off heroin...I can't be at a clinic to get the liquid every day as I work and go to school full time. I'm in the albany area but would travel to nyc. I have boarderline personality disorder and bipolar disorder and can't function on a daily basis on suboxone. Pls help I need to get off heroin before I can start therepy for my personality disorders&I am becoming very desperate.

Dear Kira, it's very difficult 2 find a Dr. Anywhere who gives out methadone 4 opiate addictions. It's a strong narcotic and must b used under supervision such as a clinic. Very few Drs. Will even give it out 4 pain. A lot of people have been asking and looking without success. (Including myself) I'm on suboxone and even asked my Dr. About it. Go 2 methadone. Com and read up on it.GOOD LUCK!

Okay, actually it's not difficult to find a doctor that will give out Methadone for treatment. Methadone is the primary source for treatment. Rehabs will give you them but you will be inpatient and then when you get out, they will assign you an outpatient place but the only way to have an outpatient methadone treatment is to be seen everyday. Since it's highly addictive, highly effective and highly fatal, they have to monitor you everyday. They will however, after about 6 months of regularly attending groups, clean urines and counseling sessions, start giving you take homes. But the kicker is, you cannot have a dirty urine, which is why it takes so long to get take homes. I don't recommend methadone, it's harder to get off of than heroin but if you need to get high everyday and that won't change unless you have something legal, then you may as well. I can't take subs or I would but they also supply subs at outpatient methadone clinics for a higher price. There is one other thing they prescribe but I can't remember what it is. Just search for Methadone clinics in your area, there are no private physicians that will prescribe it.
