If I have been taking 20mg of Adderall for a month, how long will it stay in my system for a drug test in 20 days?

If you've quit taking it now, it will be long out of your system in 20 days, it only requires a few days for most drugs to be out of your body for a urine or blood test.

However, if you are taking it by prescription, all you need to do is make them aware of that when you go in for the test, though they might require physician's verification of it.

Adderall is a stimulant medication containing Amphetamine salts, so it is often checked for on drug tests.

It is most commonly used to treat ADHD or Narcolepsy.

My son was dx with ADHD almost 12 years ago. The doctor put him on Ritalin and he had a bad reaction- His doctor put him on Adderall XR 20mg x 2= 40 mg when he wakes up. During school he also takes a 10mg to get him through the rest of the day and homework. The is the best medication I have ever seen. He is 15 years old, makes A's & B's and has since he started school. It was very hard to except that your child has ADHD. Back in the day they said he/she cant sit still There was such good results with this medication. On the weekends he does not take the 10mg. When I took early retirement there where 2 months trying to get my COBRA, I had no insurance and he cant go to school with out it. I called the drug company and they sent me 6 RX cards to cover the entire cost of the meds and no co-pay. For 90 pills of the 20mg XR it cost 985.00 and 490 for the 10mg. This saved me 8,850.00 dollars. I have never heard of a company doing this. Bottom line it is the perfect med for my son and I love the drug company. Ask your son/daughter's doctor about this med.

For those of you asking about drug testing- If you have a Rx for the drug, take the bottle with you for the test and tell the doctor you are taking it. It is federal law they can not tell your place of business that you are on it. The only exception is the armed forces. Good luck!

I took 2 adderalls over a week ago. im adhd and wanted to see if the drug worked. it didnt. all it did was make me more nervous. i havent taken any since. if i were to be tested, how long does it take for the medicine to be free from my system.
