Adderall Jaw Clenching

I notice jaw clenching too, i will "catch" myself doing it and stop immediately but by the time i notice im doing it ive already noticed my teeth and jaw hurt and i dont know what i can do to keep myself from doing something that i dont even know im doing until i feel some pain, im too focused on what im doing when i take my adderall to realize that i shouldnt be clenching, and i know my dose isnt too much because i can still get easily distracted if i let myself

Well, Adderall does contain Amphetamine salts and such stimulants can sometimes cause these types of problems.

The jaw clenching, however, could result in some problems, such as dental damage or problems in your jaw joints. Your best bet may be to consult a dentist, as they may have more ideas on what you can do to help prevent it.

Have you talked to your doctor about this? They may want to have you try a different medication.

u r taking to much mg of adderal, so lower your dosage and your jaw will not clench !! may GOD BLESS YOU !! wait ~~~~> drink lot's of water !!

Hi. I'm new to all this and I was wondering if maybe someone could just give me a little help on a few things? I just started taking addreall. When I say just started I mean as in 1hr ago. It's given to me for ADHD. I can't sleep at night go two days in a row with no sleep. My mind is all over the place and I start something and before I know it I have 5 things going on at once and I get nothing done. I have a great Dr. I'm healthy and eat well. I had to go for an ekg? I have no heart issues with me/family. Dr. said its because I do ultra marathons? I'm so confused about side effects. Is there anyone that is on this and healthy? I hear and read so much on these blogs. I'm nervous now. I don't want heart problems I don't want long term issues. Did i make a mistake? Today is my first day. I'm thinking about not taking it any more. It took my dr 5 yrs for me to start. I'm on 10mg and with everything I have been reading I don't know now.... Dr. say I'll be fine but why is it that it seems as if everyone on this is messed up? Can someone just let me know if there is anyone that is doing good and no side effects? I'm really nervous now.. New to Addreall...I'm thinking about not taking my addreall. ... I was given today 10mg to start with. I'm new to this and after reading different blogs I hear that everyong has issues. Now I'm thinking about not taking it. It took me 5yrs to do something. Today is my first day. I'm healthy and active. I had to get an ekg today because my Dr. said I run ultra marathons and they want to check my heart. He told me this is normal but he kept bringing up the fact that I run ultras?
I also have been reading about bad breath? not sleeping, Not eatting, No sex life, Plus hole lot more that I didn't read about or hear from my dr. I'm nervous now. Is there anyone out there that is healthy and with no side effects or am I just going to end up like everyone else? I'm seriously thinking about not doing it tmrw. I called my dr. he said I'm doing one of my what if again and I'll be fine. He said i shouldn't be reading blogs. But these are people who have been on this med for short/long periods of time. I'm just wondering if someone could tell me if they know or are someone who is healthy and not hooked or have issues with this drug. Did I make a mistake? Thank you
