Abilify contains the active ingredient Aripiprazole, it is an atypical antipsychotic and antidepressant, which is used to treat several mental health disorders.

And no, it is not a substance that is tested for on drug screenings, nor is it chemically related to any, so it is not known to cause false positives for anything.

Was he taking anything else? There are even some over the counter products that can cause false positives.

"Abilify antipsychotic" Why dont they say that on there t.v ads? Antipsychotics Attack the pleasure and motivation centers is the brain and also cause Akathisia, a syndrome characterized by unpleasant sensations of "inner" restlessness and an inability to sit still . The t.v ads should say "Abilify Akathisia" and "Abilify antipsychotic" not the warning for meds not in its class

Are you sure. If he was being tested for opiods I am presuming he might be a drug user, or has previously been. I am taking abilify and other meds and was previous addicted to heroin, so I know how an addict will lie to their parents. Could he have actually used opiods but simply said it must have been the abilify. I am an honest honourable person but when I was using drugs I could swear blind and promise someone I loved that I hadn't taken them, when in fact I had. Maybe he did the same thing.
