30mg Oxycodones

Was on 360 30mg Oxycodones a month for 5 years. Doctor has now switched me to 240 30mg Oxycodone and 25mcg Fentanyl patches. I seem to be hurting worse since going on the patches. I go back Thursday for refills should I ask him to change anything?

That's very unusual, that would be 12 a day. 240 is still 8 a day, which isn't the typical amount prescribed, either.

Fentanyl is much stronger than Oxycodone, but it is a time released patch, so it will not hit you all at once, like the Oxycodone did.

The FDA classifies these medications as narcotic analgesics, so they have potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

You may be dealing with some rebound pain from lowering your dose of Oxycodone and switching to the Fentanyl.

Have you discussed the issue with your doctor, yet?

Not yet I go back to him this Thursday... They say the patches last 3 days but I only seem to get about 2 days from them. I had Gastric Bypass surgery 2 years ago and since then my tolerance to the 30mg pills has gone up tremendously. I think I am just metabolizing them differently now

pour cause d'un cancer je dois prendre 80mg d'oxycontin en comprimés et un patch de fentanyl 75 par 72h, mais je supporte difficilement les patchs , quelqu'un a l eu aussi des problemes pour les patchs et a trouvé une autre alternative je vous remercie

Blazer I'm in bad shape myself,and need a Dr. Around Knox.tn. do u have any suggestions for me. I've been on oxy.30mg and fentnal 25mcg myself but I moved here a year ago. My Dr. from the town I did live in passed away. So please help

So im from harford county, Maryland.. and my pcp prescribed me#360 30 mlg oxycodones everything 28 days for3 yrs..my car was broken it to,nd fortunaly the local police department gave me a police report..the doctor had been dealing with the dea. For issues unrelated to me..I had jus recievrd my mesa bout 6/8 days b4... The doctor wouldnt prescibe me anything el se...and after 3 yrs..realized I was deff depedent on tve mesa..now i go to a methadone programa 3 x a week which sucks. Even tho it does World for my pain i am now looked at..treated like and frowned apun as i was a full blown herion addicted..which I still today have never used. Becareful...these meds are life killers

U should consider cutting the fet patches into small pieces n placing inside ur mouth on cheek or tongue, making it instant release.

What dr do you go to and where are they located? My dr's office just got shut down and I am screwed. I’m to the point where I am willing to travel to another state. I’ve got so many health issues and am getting desperate.

Are you in New York? What Dr are you seeing? My Dr gives me 90 30mg tablets of Oxycodone and I told him if this script is not lasting the whole month when I’m in pain, going to work is difficult! I have already blew through my vacation time! I need a doctor who will up the quantity of my script!
