This drug is used for bacterial infections, usually of the respiratory tract (such as pneumonia, strep throat, bronchitis, middle ear infection, etc.). Sometimes it is also combined with other antibiotics for ulcers, skin infections, an certain infections in people with aids.
Biaxin contains the active ingredient Clarithromycin, as Breezy stated, it is an antibiotic that is used to treat various types of bacterial infections.
The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, diarrhea, and non-allergic skin rash.
Is there anything I can help with?
