I just was switched from subutex to zubsolv. Just got my first script as of today. Took my first dose this morning and felt nothing but my tongue burning from the menthol. Now afternoon just had to take another dose. Hopefully will feel something...will update. Thinking about being switched to suboxone strips. Also if anyone knows how to use this coupon correctly on how to get my medicine cheaper please explain. I paid $160 for 28 a 2week supply.

When you got switched to the 8.3 mg Zubsolv did your doc say anything about diff licensing for him to be able to prescribe it?

My zubsolv was free with a coupon from orexo. I do have insurance but even without it, it was no where near 9$ a piece.

as far as weak and sedated, you may be on too high of a dose. if a person is on too much opiates, then sedation and weakness can most definitely be side effects. as far as the headaches and stomach troubles, i had those same issues. with me it was due to the naloxone in the suboxone, and not the opiates themselves. i was quickly switched to subutex, which is the opiate (buprenorphine) WITHOUT naloxone. problem solved. ive never had a problem with headaches from opiates, but opiates can definitely cause nausea, constipation and other GI issues. my guess tho is that the naloxone is causing the headaches because thats what it did to me. just a guess tho. see if your doctor will let you try subutex, which is the buprenorphine without the naloxone, and if the symptoms go away, then thats your culprit. good luck.

I'm curious about your post. You said you had your prescription mailed to you? How might I be able to do that?
I was prescribed zubsolv in October and took it for a month. The script is out of Mission Viejo CA. I relapsed for almost a month, so have to start all over. My last pain med was taken around 2am. So I waited until 5pm tonite to take my first AND LAST zubsolv. I'm freaking out because I tried to call in my refill to a pharmacy in CA, because I moved to Nevada. Cvs told me the doctor I gave them is BLOCKED. I have no clue what that means, I'm sweaty and sick smh, and I need my script.
If you have any kind of info for me, I would appreciate it soooo much

I do believe zubsolv 5.7 is equivalent to the 8mg strip 100%. I can honestly say that i have not met one person yet (excluding an online forum) that would disagree that the zubs have a higher bio availability. For 100% of my encounters, the person felt the effects almost immediately and they were more intense. That was not necessarily the desired outcome, but unless you're the 1 or 2% of people that like to disagree with or contest facts stated by multi billion dollar drug manufacturers and their scientists AND their studies, the zubsolv does in fact work more quickly and has a higher bio availability than strips..hands...down. 5.7mg zub is just as effective as an 8 mg strip...and the 11.4 zub is, in fact....like two 8mg strips. ;)

Yes I have been taking suboxone for a while now and just last month switched to zubsolv due to ten care not wanting to pay for suboxone anymore and at first it seemed to be doing the trick for me at 2 5.7 a day but now after a month it seems not as strong and I have cravings again. When I told my doctor he said if he prescribed me 3 a day that my tenn care would only pay 2 a day and I would have to pay cash for the extra 1 a day! So I don't really now if I should stay with the 2 a day and deal with it or if I should find a doctor that will perscribe me the suboxone again! All my personal experience with both suboxone and zubsolv!

I agree munmizz..the ingredients are the same exact thing..kinda like tylenol and equate. Same active ingredients. I have taken 8mg suboxone for 3 years now. Just started taking Zubsolv. Cant tell anymore difference than tylenol and equate (same acetomenophine).

So they say at least. They claim it has a better "bio-availability" but I haven't tried it. I would be curious to know how many of the people saying it doesn't hold them knew what the Mg. dosage was "before" they tried it. There most definitely is a psychological component to opiate addiction. I've seen it in others and have experienced it myself (e.g. taking oral drugs and feeling a bit of relief the second it hits your stomach...because you know it won't be long now lol). As opposed to taking it blindly. I also have to wonder if any drug taken via the same pathway but with some difference in the delivery system by two different patients (or the same person over 2 dosage periods), is really going to amount to the 28-29% in efficacy. That's quite a claim. There's some flaw in taking it blindly too. If asked a person that may not be sure yet how they feel might hem-haw around and say they feel about the same or even say because they think it's what you want to hear (gee...I can't even imagine a drug maker taking advantage of that situation to bolster claims).
So, as always, it's going to come down to a matter of individuality

My Dr's office said that its 50/50. Some people who switch have 0 problems and then there's people like myself who went through HELL for a month

I'm on the zubsolv the past 2 days and while I would usually (for over 4 years now take anywhere from a half to a full suboxone film 8/2 mg) I've taken 2 and a half of the zub pills that as required supposed to equal the same dosage and while my husband's okay, I not even NOT ACHEY..WTF

Yes I am on 5.7 Zubsolv and just got bumped up to the new 8.6 Zubsolv. I've been having problems 5.7. I used to take regular film suboxone. 8 no room milligram. that works so much better than the 5.7 Zubsolv. now they just came out with 8.6 Zubsolv. waiting for the pharmacy to call me right now for it to come in; he had to order it. I'm going nuts right now. you said 1 o'clock a day it before and now I went to get it he said 3 o'clock. Now I'm home waiting. hope there is a difference between 5. 7 and the new one because I don't feel the same stupid thoughts in my head still craving. On the 5.7. So he moved me up to the 8. 6 new ones. We will see.

Ever since wellcare stopped paying for the films my life has been one fight against staying sober after another. When I was on the films I did a lot better. Now that I'm on the zuhsolv it is not helping. It don't last as long and I don't care what the doctors say, its not as strong. My doctor is tapering me too and I've been asking myself lately if its even worth it. I've been having thoughts about going back to my old habits and I don't want that but I'm getting sick from withdraw before its time to take another zubsolv. I didn't have this problem with the films but now I do. I only want to stay clean and sober and be well from my addictions but I'm not going to be able too with these things. When I was taking the films I've had two years of clean drug panels but not now since I've been on zubsolv.

I was just recently switched from my Subutex because of the new law that passed...at first I was put on Bunavail films which I couldn't take and now switched to Zubsolv...which again, I can not take. I am highly allergic to naloxone and yet Dr. Still doesn't want to write me my Subutex....i strongly feel if they take Subutex from us that pharmaceutical companies need to come up with a product that we can take that doesn't contain naloxone in it and that's similar to subutex. I will say I love the pill form best because it dissolves very fast and it helps within 10 min tops. I hate that I can't take any of these products but I've never been able to and feel its extremely wrong the government tell us what we can and can't have, I mean, if ur allergic ur allergic. I will say my husband takes Zubsolv and loves it though...doesnt last as long though, that's his only complaint

It was hell? Apparently you have no idea what hell is. I was on suboxone for 7 years. I have been on zubs for 6 months now. I would personally take zubs over subs. There's something about them that hits you harder in my opinion, and in most others peoples opinions have talked too also. I know they have the same exact two active ingredients: naloxone and bupe. Alot of people say zubs are better because of the taste and how fast they dissolve comated to subs, but that is not why I prefer them. I like how they make me feel. Why don't you look at other comments about people comparing the two..it's a really popular opinion that zubs get you pretty faded. The menthol seems to make it so that the bupe is absorbed quicker and or more efficiently. I think your opinion was formed on zubs based upon you thinking a certain way in your head prior to even giving them a chance. How could you put 5.7 mg or more of bupe in your system and still be going through withdrawals? Bupe is bupe no matter what name brand you slap on it..and that statement you made in my opinion makes your review Unreliable. Your slighted towards the name brand of suboxone, anyone with half of a brain in there heads can see that from a mile away. Haha.
